General description : When no tail is present.

4 MP Tail Size: Giga

4 MP Tail Size: Giga

Species: Elnin
Category: Tail Size

(Yes, giga. Show me your gigatails xD) There is no precise upper size limitation to 4mp tail sizes and hair/earfluff lengths. At 4mp an elnin can basically circulate ambient energy through themselves to support any extra sizing. (I just ask that folks at least try to size responsibly, otherwise I might have to reconsider adding a size ceiling if people start doing tails the size of cruise boats >v>;;; )

3 MP Tail Size: Infused

3 MP Tail Size: Infused

Species: Elnin
Category: Tail Size

Infused tails are visibly larger than standard sizes due to having a higher than normal mana capacity. If your elnin looks like it could probably use its tail as a comfortable bed it's probably an infused size... if your elnin looks like it could host a sleepover in its tail then it's probably :

1 MP Tail Size: Standard

1 MP Tail Size: Standard

Species: Elnin
Category: Tail Size

This tail size is considered the baseline shape/size for all tail types. Standard tails should feel like they're more or less balanced in size with the rest of the body.

General description : Glade tails are your basic pony tails, silky and ready for brushing.

Things to keep in mind :

  • Nothing too tricky about glades. You are welcome adjust the volume of the tail higher if you'd like an especially teased look or lower if you want a more sleek style.

Classic Diadem

Classic Diadem

Species: Elnin
Category: Crown
  • (previously "Simple Traditional) : Similar in appearance to a traditional crown or tiara. There shouldn't be any attachments to the crown that look like specific things (ie wings/flowers/etc). The metal should be ordinary silver or any of the "yellow range" metals such as gold/bronze/copper and the like. Can have either a single smallish sized attached accent stone or up to three tiny sized attached accent stones- the stone(s) should not have a specific shape (no hearts or stars for example), and should be the same color as the elnin's anima.
    • Examples: (ELN422ELN271ELN1746)
    • ❌ Examples of incorrect classic diadems: [Incorrect diadems]
    • Note: there are some legacy diadems that have shaped accent stones, but going forward will not be allowed.
Witchlight

Witchlight

Species: Elnin
Category: Crown
  • (split from "Elemental / Wisp"): Resembles a colorful wisp of flame. Can be any color or combination of colors. Witchlight crowns can have some particle/glow effects, but should not have any additional features such as "eyespots" (previously allowed). Swirl designs are fine, but any pattering you wouldn't normally associate with a little ball of fire should be avoided.
    • Elnins can use witchlight crowns to ignite items stuck into them at will, the resulting flame will burn the color of the crown for quite some time before eventually returning to the orange hues of an ordinary fire. This means that an elnin with a witchlight crown is often a welcome member of any expeditionary party, since they can light a campfire with very little fuss.
    •  Examples: (ELN627ELN145ELN306)
    • ❌ "Eyespots" are a legacy feature and are no longer allowed on normal witchlight crowns. Ex: (ELN141ELN625 )
Treasure

Treasure

Species: Elnin
Category: Crown
  • (previously "Item themed/Bauble/Trinket crowns") : Treasure crowns are the upgraded version of Trinket crowns. Treasure crowns resemble: complex items, items that are large in size, any mix of different items, or an item accompanied by very minimal jewelry embellishments. This type of crown can potentially have some mobility depending on the item it's based on, but can only occupy the space around an elnin's head - resting on an ear, floating in different positions etc. Cannot sit on the should or back, must stay around the head.
    • ❌ Previous crown type allowed for diadem traits, but in order to prevent any future confusion regarding hybrids, any addition of an actual crown or tiara shape will now constitute a "Diadem hybrid".
      Examples of what
would now be considered diadem hybrids:
    • Adornments that are simply attached decoration or scrollwork are ok:
      • A moon with golden scrollwork (ELN201)
Trinket

Trinket

Species: Elnin
Category: Crown

Trinket crowns are small and simple items or shapes.

Trait Examples
trinket-3.jpgA Shell
trinket-1.jpgSimple Star Shapes
trinket-2.jpgA Simple Skull

General:

  • In order to be simple enough to classify as a Trinket crown instead of a Treasure crown your design must be either only 1 material or only 2 colors.
    • If there is more than 1 material, there must be 2 or less colors.
      • Colors should stay as flat as possible and not involve strong gradients to count as “1 color.”
    • If there is more than 2 colors, there must be only 1 material.
      • “Material” is flexible. It could be something you would normally think of like wood, stone, cloth, or it could be something like candy! It should just be something homogenous.
  • The item should only be one distinct object. Not one object on top of or attached to another object.
  • You can have up to three of the same item if they are identical in appearance (you may vary their size a bit though).

Details:

  • Avoid engravings as they often add more intricacy/detail to a design that might push it into Treasure rather than Trinket.
  • To avoid being mistaken for Fauna or Flora crowns, Trinkets should be inanimate/not living.  This also means they should not resemble something animate or living. For example a metal leaf would not be allowed.
    • Exceptions: shells, a bone, a skull
  • If it’s a food item make it clearly food and not just raw meat / animal parts

Legacy:

  • Previously 4MP. Split into Trinket / Treasure to account for varying design complexity.

Infused Sigil

Infused Sigil

Species: Elnin
Category: Crown
  • (previously "Complex Glyphic") : Infused Sigils share many of the features of their Classic counterparts with a few notable upgrades. Infused sigil crowns can:
    • Have any number of core or inflection runes.
    • Be much larger in size.
    • Be any color or combination of colors (solid or gradient is fine).
    • Give off light.
    • Examples: ELN579, ELN564
Infused Diadem

Infused Diadem

Species: Elnin
Category: Crown
  • (previously "Complex Traditional") :  Infused Diadems share many of the features of their Classic counterparts with a few notable upgrades. Infused diadem crowns can:
    • Have any color metal (should still be metallic textured)
    • Be larger and more abstractly shaped.
    • Can have a few very small floating accent gems in addition to any attached gems. Gems can be any color, but should not be "shaped" or be very large/prominent (otherwise it becomes a hybrid).
    • Accent gems may glow.
