Hello everyone! Can you believe it's August already? It feels like this year has really been moving quickly but we wanted to cover some recent happenings in the group!

Prompts and Activities Survey

This year has been a bit quiet on the prompt and activities front. While the group's monthly prompts have been posted regularly, we're interested in hearing the community's thoughts on prompts and activities within the group. We decided to write a survey to help brainstorm ideas on what might improve interest and participation. Spirits Stirring 2026 And Starfall Faire Card Frames

Due to the low turnout of Spirits Stirring prompt entries, we will be reopening this prompt later this year with the intent to raffle off the oddly-colored pomu tokens that did not find homes in the earlier raffle! So stay tuned for that.

Additionally, the Card Frame Merchant has Starfall Faire card frames back in stock while the "[S-3] Annual Starfall Faire" seasonal prompt is active. Make sure to pick up the seasonal frame while it is around this year if you have any elnin masterlist entries you would like to fancy up a bit! 

New Mutations and Quest Updates

With the release of the last elnin subtype (Elestial elnin) a few other general mutations have also been released for the group along with one other mutation that's been added as an inclusion to the djinnin elnin subtype.

What new mutations have been released (or updated)?

• Willowy - A rare physique mutation that gives an elnin longer legs.
• Silken - An uncommon fluff mutation modfier
• Shaped Iris - An uncommon eye mutation that adjusts the outer shape of an elnin's iris.
• Slender Ears - An uncommon ear mutation that narrows an elnin's ears at the base giving them a thin shape throughout.
• Forked Tongue - An uncommon mutation that causes the tip of an elnin's tongue to have a two pronged look.
• Mana Saturated - This mutation has been expanded a bit in terms of what it impacts visually on an elnin. Check out the mutation entry to read about the changes.

Do these new mutations have regions?

Yes! All of the new mutations now have regions associated with them. Feel free to start earning AP to add them to your elnin!

How can I add the forked tongue mutation to my djinnin if it's now included as part of that subtype?

All existing djinnin with art have had this mutation added to their notes tab and all MYO djinnin that have not yet been created have had this mutation added to their mutations list for when they go to submit their MYO art. Due to the fact this mutation was released well after the djinnin subtype's release, we are giving existing djinnin owners who have already had their djinnin drawn two options.

1. If you want to update your art to include the forked tongue mutation now, you can update your elnin's art to visually show it and submit that art as a design update. We will review the art, and if the art meets the groups guidelines for adding this new mutation, we will approve it.
   • You do not need to pay to have the forked tongue mutation added if it's the only thing being added, but if you decide to submit this mutation alongside other mutation additions or edits, those other additions will have a cost as usual.
2. If you're happy with your existing djinnin art and don't plan to update it any time soon but still want to apply this mutation to their traits list, please submit a support ticket to the "Masterlist & Ownership" ticket type and link the existing djinnin you want this mutation applied to. Keep in mind if you ever update your djinnin's art we will expect the next design update to show their forked tongue. Otherwise we will be treating this mutation as dropped.
   • We decided to include this option because of the nature of when and how this trait is being added to the subtype. This will not be what we do for other mutations in the notes tab for any elnin. This is a courtesy for djinnin owners who may never want to update their elnin's art in the future for any reason, but would otherwise miss out on this addition. As stated above, should they ever update their art, the expectation will be that this mutation is shown in that next art update.

What new traits have been released?

• Overwild (Aerial) Tail Style - A new variant of overwild tails that focuses on tails covered in feathers.
  • No overwild tails should have any wing forms in them, they are just tails with feather coverage in place of fur.

How can I acquire an Overwild (Aerial) tail?

This variation of the Overwild tail style has been added to the "Bewildering Behind" special quest. So you can do the questline there to acquire it for your elnin!

Helpful Walkthroughs Page Additions

We've added an additional section to the Helpful Walkthroughs page to help outline different options for growing elnin and a general idea of associated costs. The helpful walkthrough's page is supplemental to our guides. So if you have any in depth questions, please check the pages under our "Guides" menu link. Those pages will always have the most in depth information, but since they're chunked out in a more thorough way we're hopeful this additional walkthrough section will help provide an overview some group members will find helpful!

Wrapping up and plans ahead

We're hoping in the coming months to take a closer look at prompts and questing a bit more to see what we can add and improve upon in those spaces. We'll also continue working on sorting out what we would like to include within the era shift mentioned earlier this year.
