Depict your elnin collecting some sand from a beach or desert location in Eyre. What observations do they make about the sand they’ve picked up? Do they have any particular feelings about the abundant sand crystals that seem to appear everywhere, like all over their belongings and fur?

Details

Depict your elnin acquiring glass. Do they buy it outright or hand over a portion of their sand sample to a forge to be melted down? Is there anything special about the glass they’re acquiring? Maybe they’ve picked up glass with a fancy hue or a lack of the material locally means they have to take apart something else to get a glass sample.

Details

Depict your elnin finding and observing a smooth surface of water or ice across Eyre. This can be them encountering a very still lake or niche somewhere, or in chillier regions an area of smooth ice. This act assumes a sample of water is being taken from said location, however the act itself must minimally depict your elnin viewing a smooth surface, even if there is additional imagery or writing to mention they take a sample as well!

Details

Depict your elnin creating a sculpture of themselves from one or more materials. This could be a snow or ice sculpture or some other material like clay or wood. Sculptures do not need to be smooth or super refined, they’re more about studying an elnin’s own features.

Details

Depict your elnin at a mana well laying out the samples they took on their journey observing crystals, smooth surfaces, and themselves. Samples should include: the gemstone acquired, some sand, a piece of melted glass, a container with water, and if the sculpture the elnin made of themselves is more mobile (not ice or larger) that can be optionally included as well! Mana concentration is high in these areas and organic-shaped anima crystals will be present. This act of offering samples wraps up their journey discovering crystalline properties.

NOTES

Mana wells are areas with a higher than normal concentration of mana marked by anima crystals, overgrown plants, and unusually large animals or creatures appearing in colors that aren't normal for their species, etc

Generally, the color of the anima crystals will correspond to the region the mana well is found in. You can reference the Map of Eyre (or the Map of Eyre /w Borders for some corresponding regional mana colors) for ideas! For example, Zevija's anima is usually on the warm spectrum while Strynhalde tends toward pale blue/white, etc. These naturally occurring anima crystals should be depicted in organic shapes, opposed to artificial shapes.
