[Regional Flora of Ealei] Large flotillas of a kelp-like seaweed can be found in the waters around Ealei. This plant system is home to many creatures and from the surface looks like normal kelp. However, below the layer of ocean where the sun does not reach, the long leafy fronds of the seaweed exhibits bioluminescence. It is not know if it is caused by a symbiotic relationship or if the photosynthesis of the plant gave the leaves the ability to glow but the name 'Hair of the Ghost' is very apt as from a distance, when under the water, it looks like glowing strands of hair from a ghostly giant floating in the water.
