     Ealei is known for their unique mangrove trees and the interesting way their island is not really an island but more the life that grows around the roots of Yggdrasil. Most of the flora in Ealei grow from those roots and the areas of soil and sand deposited from the waters around into the nooks and crannies of the root network. This has in turn produced very interesting habitats as most plants and animals rely on the constant ebb and flow of the tides to spread the nutrients around. Thanks to this drastic way of life for the flora of Ealei, there are many plants that have medicinal values, especially when combined with the fresh, clear air of the ocean around them.

     For injured or sick Elnin, there is a location just outside of Nalnalo, that has some of the best places to rest and recover. This spot, found within a protective area of the main cove, is where probably the most distinctive hospital can be found. It is mostly an open-air hospice comprised of many one-two room huts that stand out of the waters on stilts. This little network of 'healing cottages' are wover together with small bridges and thicker roots of the trees around them. While each province seems to boast of their exceptional healing skills, the Ieldi who live in Nalnalo are probably the greatest (at least in their own opinion). The sunny days and uplifting, gentle magics in the area along with the dense, if bitter, tea that is produced from the mangrove roots that grow around the huts can heal many ailments. This open-air hospice is where many elnin are sent to recover from mana sicknesses so that they can heal and relax until they feel better than they ever did before. If asked how to make the medical root tea most Ieldi will just tap their noses with a smile. You cannot be sure if it is a trade secret or if it is something else but the mangrove tea of Ealei has proven itself many times over.
