Penumbra is a quiet kittom who always seems as though they're off in another world. They often wander from place to place, not staying in one spot for more than a few days. Because of this, they know many of the locals in the Faerindell community yet no one seems to mind since they're nothing but kind and do their best to stay out of other elnin's business. Most of the adults simply think they're busy finding their own place in the world, and while that may be true, they're not quite certain themselves either and remain content to roam.
They often meet up with their father, Vie, to help him with herb gathering in the forests and markets or aid in preparing salves in the back room of his apothecary. They look forward to Vie's stories whenever they visit and he always has one to eagerly tell. Penumbra is one of the only kittoms that Vie isn't able to tease due to their quiet and serious demeanor, but it's made them much closer than any of his other children because of it. They often surprise him and others with their thoughtful input. Vie does his best to encourage them to think and grow, often leaving them with something to puzzle out until their next get-together.
