By the time Moon arrived, the heavy snowfall had turned Strynhalde's hills into a maze of cold grey.
Balthazar had been pacing at the forest's edge, frantic that Atlas had not returned.
Moon knew at once the feyfolk had acted on their careless gift,
and that their father could not leave the woodland.
They rushed through the blizzard, calling for their brother
until they saw a familiar glow atop the hillside.
Atlas had been lured into the storm with the very same charm,
now half-frozen, and trapped in a feverish nightmare.
Moon pulled him free, and surely won their wish.
Together, they would leave Strynhalde.
