Fitz drops by one of his favourite mana wells, and is greeted with a disappointing sight. The mana crystals seem dull and cracked, and while flora never really florished within Zevija's arid climate, it looked like the plants were even more withered than usual. It seems the corruption isn't completely out of hand just yet, as one of the critters are still lingering around. He stares back at the abnormally large fire salamander, its usual red eyes and flames a strange vibrant blue, a result of the higher mana concentration.
