Visiting Zevija, the kittoms discovered they could have glass items made out of the volcanic ash in the area, called obsidian.
Cielle gets a small obsidian flute, while Cat gets a tambourine made of tanned hide and obsidian disks.

The two end up going into one of the gemstone mines to try out their instruments.
Truth be told, it was Cielle's idea, and Cat isn't too comfortable with the idea considering said cave could be right under an active volcano, but it seemed even her pomu didn't mind, happily clacking away with a pair of rocks they found to the tune of Cielle's flute.
