She's always dreamt of exploration outside of the grand island of Palu'au... Away from her overbearing family. It had been days since she last rested in the open air; back pressing against the moss that claimed a small boulder near the pondwater. Eyes relax, watching the fireflies blink across the body of life and the occasional ripple when one got far too curious and made contact. Yuzu's heard the hushed whispers of those in other regions when they speak of Enmir, listing it as an undesirable place to raise younglings... Or to even pass through. She can't share the same sentiment though, there's something oddly charming about the thick moss that layered itself in between the trees clinging to the murky waters, or how some of the overgrowth hung so low that it tickled her nose on her explorations. Her studies that she held a deep desire of pursuing mentioned the medicinal qualities of the herbs and other various resources blooming in Enmir; it was charming, but Yuzu had never expected to find herself nestled close to a patch of vivid violet flowers. An eye opens in interest, shifting from her seated position to saunter over and plop down lazily in front of the group. After taking the delicate petal between her paws and rubbing with a gentle pressure, she notes how the carpel is extended and the petals droop lowly... Akin to a skirt. The leaves were long and pointed, resembling miniature green blades to protect the fair maiden; the flower. Just as she's about to release the flora, realization hits her all at once. This was one of the few beauties of medicinal quality that she had read about, Heliantheae -- or more commonly known as Echinacea. A more forceful tug from the base gives the flower to the kittom herself, pulling out her hand-crafted book detailing much information on the health effects of something such as this. Safely tucking her journal back in her pouch, Yuzu tiptoes across the massive twisted roots that were entangled with one another, hopping from bit to bit and occasionally clinging onto the rather sturdy links of moss to keep herself from slipping into the murky water below. A sigh of relief, noting the hut of a friend who allowed her refuge while she traveled... Perhaps she'll share her favorite aspects from a land such as Enmir to the locals, it could be good to form a stronger bond with others outside of her home.
