In every region in Eyre, there’s a towering eldertree. It’s hard not to miss the region’s eldertree when one is outside and the weather is clear.

In the case of Ahza, the large elder tree was quite an odd site to behold. With the area surrounding the grand tree is covered with shades of browns and yellows, the green leaves high on top of the tree cut through the browns of the ground and branches along with the blue of the sky above. Among the green leaves are branches that twist every which way, having sprouted erratically from the trunk of the eldertree.

At the base of the tree, there isn’t only sand that keeps the tree company. Just as the branches twist and turn, the eldertree’s large roots rise and fall into the sandy ground in every direction imaginable. Small creatures may have little difficulty navigating and squeezing through the spaces the roots make, but larger creatures may have difficulty following. With that in mind, is that what happened to the enormous creature that now rests underneath the tree’s roots? A large skeleton rests at the base of the tree. With the passing of time, the eldertree’s roots have grown around the monstrous creature’s remains.

Lixue would find it interesting to visit Ahza’s eldertree. All the eldertrees in Eyre pique his curiosity, but seeing the tree plus the dragonic skeleton at the same time would be a sight to behold. Seeing a bit of green that wasn’t from a prickly cactus or next to an oasis would be something new and interesting to him. While he wasn’t the biggest fan of crossing the hot sands, he would make the trip to visit the eldertree. Once he was there, he would take the time to look over the large dragon skeleton, and when he grew tired he would find a space underneath some of the eldertree’s roots to nestle in and take a quick nap.
