She just had to make a sweet little cake for her dear friend Yuzu. How could she not? Baking was her thing and with how beautiful Faerindell was she couldn’t miss the chance to be inspired.

She glances around at the rolling hills of bright flowers, cherry blossom petals drifting through the wind, trees standing proud towering above her. 

This place was like a fantasy dream come true. Like a fairytale with princesses and their prince who saves them. She sometimes would let her mind wander and imagine what it would be like to have someone who loved her that much…

Well who needs a man or woman when she has such good friends like Yuzu, they love her and she loves them. This is the exact reason she’s going to decorate this cake based on this place.

It has such a nice fuzzy feeling when you look around, fresh air mixed with the scent of flowers filling her airspace, feels good to be here, to just.. exist and do whatever your heart desires.

She hums, holding the piping for icing in her paws, her mind wandering as she makes tiny flowers just like the ones in the fields, followed by what seemed to be cherry blossoms, but uh… they could easily be mistaken for something else. At least she’s trying! She’s doing her best-

She pouts when a cherry blossom landed on the cake, making her see just how off her ones were, she gently waves it off. She does a few more touches to the small cake, adding some little details with cream to the outline, topping it with a sweet ripe strawberry and cute little heart shaped treats.

Got to let Yuzu know how much she cares about her and Pomona wasn’t the best at expressing her feelings of gratitude or admiration that well. She gets very easily flustered and shy, even just thinking about it was making her blush.

She really hopes she likes it, she wasn’t entirely sure if the other elnin was going to like the strawberry jam filling of the sponge cake that had vanilla mixed in with the batter to give it a little oompff, a kick of flavour you could say. Can't forget the vanilla buttercream too.

She studied the cake for a few seconds, pursing her lips, it was missing something… but what. Maybe what she should do with the box to store it in, she can’t exactly just carry it around on a plate, that would be a little strange. Just oh yaaaa, totally ignore the kittom walking by with a cake going down the fantasy esque streets, who looks like she’s struggling.

She should add a bow to the box, maybe a flower? Ya a flower too, but which one, she had so many to choose from. 

Her eyes naturally trail over to the lands filled with bright flowers, darting around as she tries to decide on which one. Maybe she should smell them too? Did Yuzu have a favourite flower? She sniffs one, then two, chewing the inside of her cheek as she thinks. The yellow was nice, but it would sort of clash with the soft pink colours she went with the cake. 

Orange, orange flowers would fit, and it just so happens that there’s an orange daylily right nearby. A flower she is sure you can eat, but albeit that she would rather it just be used for decoration and not chance telling her friend you could possibly eat it. She probably wouldn't even if she told her. 

She gently plucks it, making sure that it had a nice long stem so it wouldn’t slip out of the bow she was about to make. Carefully she places the small cake in the box, making sure not to touch any of the sides, tying a neat bow with a flower wrapped within. She takes a step back to examine the box, smiling to herself as she nods happy with the results.

The box had a very specific design, she painted it herself actually, it WAS just a plain white one, but she brought it upon herself to paint the flowering trees on the sides, especially the Sakura trees and Faerie Shrouds hanging down, drifting petals falling into a tiny pond she decided to add in for fun. In the distance peeking through some of the trees seemed to be a castle of some sorts.

She put a lot of hard work and effort into this, she just hopes it shows, she doesn’t do things with half effort, it was all or just don’t do it at all.

As she picked up the box by the bow with her mouth a sudden thought barged right in, it would be nice to move here in the future…. or nearby. Hm, that’s more for future Pomona though, that’s a huge thing to think over, especially with such a large move from Strynhalde to here.

Anyway, Yuzu should be nearby, the two had decided to meet up in Elenion by the Eldertree. 

Her paws make a soft tip tapping noise as she basically pranced down the cobblestone paths, breathing in the smell of freshly baked goods and the exploding floral scent that swarmed her nose.

She’s really lucky she doesn’t have any pollen issues. Where is her friend though? She hasn’t once come across the kittom as she walked around, would she be closer to the eldertree?

She weaves between the bustling streets, smiling awkwardly in the direction of anyone who greeted her, unsure of what else to do. She peeks up though, seeing the very familiar upright, front facing ears of the pinkish kittom.

“Yuzu!!!” She calls, her voice extremely muffled from the bow in her mouth, frantically waving a paw when the other girl peeked open her eyes and looked in her direction, a smile of her own now on her face.

“Pom! Oh jeez- do you need help?” She could practically hear the teasing undertone as she neared her, pouting a little embarrassed.

“Noooo, I don’t need help,” she whines, placing the box down, excitedly bounding around it to nuzzle into her friend as a greeting. “But!” She moves back, tail swishing showing her clear excitement and happiness. “I made you something!”

“Oh? Why?” She laughs, “you don’t have to make me anything, Pom.”

“Ugghhh I knoooow, I just want to show you how much I appreciate you- just accept it, pleeease.”

“Alright, alright, calm down. Hehe you get easily worked up a lot lately.” She hums, unable to prevent her smile getting bigger, Pomona’s excitement now spreading to her. She glances at the box, nodding at it to ask if this was it, laughing seeing the deadpan look that practically screamed duh.

The closer she looks at it though the more she can see how much effort went into the gift, a little flustered her friend went all out. “Pommmmm, how long did you work on this?”

“I-“ she blushes deeply, coughing awkwardly. “Um.. irrelevant, I will be taking no more questions. Open itttt!”

She sniffs the flower, giving Pom a weary look as she pulls the bow open, nudging the lid off the well decorated box. She couldn’t help but beam at the small cake, extremely excited now. She supported Pom with her baking and everything else she makes, so to get a small cake that was clearly made with caring intent for her was a really nice gesture.

“Ooooohhh!!! This one is new! Pommmiiie, it looks so good. You did such a good job with the flowers and trees!”

Said kittom blushes more, turning away slightly to try to hide this, rubbing her other paw awkwardly as she shifts from foot to foot. “Thank you… please taste it-“

“You’ll share with me right?”

“Huh?” She gives her a confused look, eyebrows knitting together. “It’s for you though?”

“Ya and I want to share it with you?” She gently nudged the box closer, sitting down and patting the ground for her to follow suit. She couldn’t deny her friend such a request, reluctantly sitting down next to her as she took out the one fork she had, only thinking Yuzu would be eating it. If she knew she was going to do this she would have brought another.

“You taste first though, it is yours after all.” She mumbles, handing her the fork. Sweating a little as the younger girl takes a bite, expression lighting up as she chews.

“This is really good, is that strawberry?”

“And vanilla…” she shyly adds on, flinching back when the fork was suddenly shoved in her face. “Yuuuuzuuuu-“

“Come onnnnnn, eat it with me!”
