I imagine the marine life in Silveil would have adapted to the mushroomy-environment by allowing glowing flora to grow on them or develop parts and glands that resemble glowing fungi on their bodies. In this case, this crustacean is mimicking the glowing mushrooms on its antenna and allowing actual water-friendly mushrooms to grow on its chiten. These work well as lures, camoflage from larger predatores, and as a snack when you're a desperate crab.
