One day in the forest with pink trees, which surround the city of Elenion, a young adult Elnin with fairy colors was walking around, carrying a small basket. She observed with attention as usual the landscape which presented itself to her: the pink leaves of the trees which fluttered in the wind, the colorful flowers which strewed the ground across the path and whose reflections of the sunset brought an exquisite harmony to contemplate. As well as all the little creatures and insects that lived in this magical place.

 

Looking for some herbs and wild fruits to decorate her dishes and to give her more energy during her dance performances, Oletta had gone out of the way to go deeper into the forest. She was looking for one of her usual little place where she often found what she was looking for. But that day, things turned out differently...

 

The sun was about to set as she quietly picked a few plants and heard an unknown, wild noise not far behind her. The elnin suddenly turned and a creature whose existence she had never known sprang before her. Surprised, she gritted her teeth and tried to intimidate them nonetheless, throwing her basket at them and then a few stones in their face.

 

- Don't approach !!

 

She was quickly cornered against a tree and couldn't really stand up when the creature leaped at her. Closing her eyes, she was surprised to hear a new voice appear out of nowhere.

 

- OI COME BACK HERE DUMBASS! I'm not done with you !!

 

Reopening her eyes, Oletta discovered an elnin which quickly sent the creature in the background, not sparing it. The creature kicked him anyway but the elnin didn't flinch, striking the creature again. This one ends up running away again, to the despair of the new one.

 

- Tcht. What a pain this one, I must get rid of it very quickly.

 

He sighed then walked over to Oletta, holding out his hand to help her up.

 

- Oi, you should avoid walking alone at night like that, there are some weird critters around lately. You were lucky that I was around.

 

- Yes ... thank you very much for your help ...! You are... ?

 

He flicked her on the forehead before turning around, cutting her off.

 

- Hah! No need to be formal, it's not my thing. Running a hand through his hair, he added. The name is Katsuki. And you ?

 

- I'm Oletta. Thank you really for your help ...!

 

Katsuki started to walk away without looking back.

 

- Hey, no big deal. Be careful next time, or you won't be living long.

 

The elnin left as quickly as he had arrived. Oletta watched him go, her eyes shining, staring at him. It took a moment for her to realize and go to pick up her basket. Then she found a kind of necklace with a pendant in the shape of a tooth, with a scarlet color and beautiful.

 

- Oh .... he must have lost it earlier ... The clasp is broken, but maybe I can do something about it ...

 

Oletta quickly returned to the path to leave the forest and go home as soon as possible, unable to think of anything other than this Katsuki ...

A few weeks have passed since the meeting with Katsuki. Oletta continued her quiet little life, animated by her performances, outings with her friends and all other diverse and varied things. Not having had the opportunity to see the Elnin again, she decided to wear the necklace while waiting. It quickly became like her lucky item: she never leaves it, waiting to be able to return it to its owner when the time comes. It must be said that Oletta is very curious about this Katsuki, and that she does not want to miss an opportunity to learn more about him ...

 

Her friend Cannelle came to visit her, the two girls having spent a good part of the morning chatting happily, installed in one of the fields of colorful flowers that defines the enchanting landscapes of Faerindell. After having lunch in a small restaurant in Elenion, the two friends took a little walk in the forest, where Oletta took the opportunity to tell her friend about her meeting with Katsuki in detail.

 

- Damn Oletta ...! Don't go out alone like this anymore, next time ask someone to come with you! Who knows what could have happened to you ...

 

- Hehehe, sorry Cannelle, I must admit that this is the first time that this has happened to me ... But at least it made me realize that I must become stronger to know how to defend myself!

 

Cannelle then looks at her with one curious eye.

 

- And if not, this Katsuki ... How was he? Okay, he was strong ... but was he cute at least? ~

 

Oletta quickly turns her head away from this question, feeling her embarrassment rising.

 

- W-What are you talking about ?! And then cute isn't a word to qualify it ... that would be rather ... really cool ... and ... mmmh ... attractive ...?

 

Her eyes then fall not far away as she sees a figure leaning against a tree. The colors reminding her of something ... Oletta doesn't listen to her friend's response as she rushes towards the figure, recognizing the Elnin who saved her a few weeks before.

 

- Katsuki ?!

 

Elnin looks very badly, his face contorted. Oletta kneels beside him, resting a hand on his forehead. Guessing her fever, her worry increases, and as Cannelle joins them, she turns to her friend, desperately.

 

- Cannelle, it's Katsuki ...! He really doesn't seem to be doing well ...!

 

Cannelle approaches and looks a little at the Elnin who is obviously very weakened.

 

- Oletta, we'll take him to your place, then I'll go get a doctor. We're lucky, Latte's on Faerindell for a while with Milky, they can help us.

 

The two girls then help Katsuki get up and walk, supporting him as best they can to take him to Oletta's place.

A few hours after being found, Katsuki wakes up, obviously still very tired and weakened. He brings a hand to his forehead where a cold towel is placed on it.

 

- Hah ... but where I am .... what am I doing here ...

 

Sitting next to him, Oletta suddenly sits up when she sees him awake, taking his hand gently.

 

- Katsuki !! How are you feeling ? I found you with a friend, in the forest ... She's going to bring a doctor back, so hold on!

 

He looks at her, somewhat confused.

 

- It's okay, it's nothing ... I was just tired, now that I have pawned things are better.

 

Elnin stands up but Oletta frowns, taking him by the shoulders.

 

- No way you get up !! You are at least waiting for Latte to come and drink that !!

 

Oletta then hands him a cup with a herbal infusion. Despite her weakness, Katsuki frowns and begins to growl.

 

- No, but you're not my mother as far as I know! Leave me alone !

 

He then tries to get up, but falters, Oletta barely has time to catch up with him, nearly dropping her cup.

 

- Is it not over soon this joke ?? You're sick, so you rest and don't be fussy! Otherwise I'll knock you out so that you sleep again!

 

She said this to him by sticking the cup under his muzzle. Katsuki clenched her teeth then finally resigned herself, too weak to protest any further.

 

- Tcht. As if you had the strength.

 

He takes the cup, continuing to growl and begins to drink its contents, but almost spits it out.

 

- No but you want to kill me or what ?! This thing is infamous !!

 

Oletta gets impatient this time and takes the cup, determined to give him a drink.

 

- Drink it I'm telling you !! It's to help you regain your strength while waiting for the right remedy!

 

- Yeah well, I'd rather wait for you to poison me with this thing!

 

- It's very good for health, on the contrary! I drink it regularly and it keeps me fit and healthy!

 

- And first of all, who are you? What do you want from me and why did you help me?

 

Oletta hits him on the head this time, without really hurting him.

 

- You idiot ! You saved me a few weeks ago, so let me return the favor!

 

The two continue to argue, Oletta struggling to get him to drink more of the mixture, until they hear the door open, Cannelle interrupting them. Two other adult elnins accompany her. One male with long hair and pale fur, while the other is a female with dark fur and colorful markings.

 

After the introductions, Latte and Milky took care of Katsuki. Elnin, having Dusk Fever, must rest for several days. Latte bakes pastries with Milky's help, adding the local colorful medicinal herbs to aid in the healing of the elnin. Oletta assists them and bakes pastries in turn, learning how to make the remedy to cure the Elnin. It's getting late and Cannelle goes to the stove, preparing a good meal for everyone, while Katsuki has fallen asleep and is resting, Oletta watching over him.

 

Over the next few days, Oletta continued to take care of him, keeping him at home even though she repeatedly had to tie him to the bed to prevent him from running away. They still manage to hold conversations and get to know each other better, Katsuki softening a bit on contact with Oletta. She continues to prepare the remedies for him as well as healthy and balanced dishes to help him get back on his feet.

After a week, Katsuki is finally well, Oletta having cooked him a good breakfast.

 

- So you're leaving today? Are you sure you'll be okay, huh? I don't mind if you stay longer if you need to ...

 

- Nah don't worry, you've already done enough.

 

He runs a hand around her neck, looking away, seeming to be searching for his words. Oletta then remembers and removes the necklace from her neck, presenting it to Elnin.

 

- Ah Katsuki! I forgot to give you that back! You lost it when you chased the creature last time!

 

Katsuki looks at her for a moment before looking away.

 

- Hey, it's not because I was sick that I didn't see that you were wearing it. But you wear it better than me ...

 

He shakes his head before growling.

 

- Raaaah keep it, I don't need it !! If you wore it, it's because you liked it, right?

 

Oletta is very surprised, her heart catching a thump in her chest before she smiles softly at him.

 

- Yes ... ~ In that case I'll keep it ... Thank you Katsuki!

 

- Tcht. It's not much, but if it makes you happy ... after all you've done ...

 

Oletta laughed softly before asking him teasingly.

 

- Then give it to me, so it will be a real gift from you! ~

 

- Haaah ?? you dream !!

 

- Alleeeez please ... ~

 

Katsuki ends up giving her the necklace, before Oletta comes gently to put her muzzle against his cheek in affection.

 

- I finally release you, your ordeal is over hehehe!

 

The elnin buggered for a moment before being truly embarrassed and turning back to the door, growling.

 

- Raaaaah it's okay you're happy ?? Well I'm breaking! Next time I see you, I swear to train you to be more of a weakling, and it will be your turn to morfle !!

 

Katsuki finally leaves the house, to Oletta's playful laughter.
