Katya has a strong personality and aloof attitude not often expected of someone as tiny, puffy, and pink as she is. She has a passion for musical composition and piano playing, and was once a rising star in the world of music.
❥ Katya had a wealthy upbringing in the city of Ilrain, where she spent her kittomhood learning to play the piano and honing her musical skills.
❥ She met Sulahn, a handsome elnin that worked as a traveling medic, and had a whirlwind romance with him that ended in heartbreak.
❥After an incident left her paws injured and cut her professional musical career short, she moved from Ilrain to a smaller, sleepier town not far from Eiloen.
❥ She's come to accept that she will never be able to play piano quite the way she used to. Insecurity stops her from letting others hear, but she still practices early in the morning, before her kits are out of bed.
❥ Despite fairly frequent requests and offers of payment, Katya no longer does any public music performances. However, her services as a music tutor are highly in demand, and some of her lucky students get the chance to learn to play the music she writes.
Katya's oldest daughter, her pride and joy. She loves Anpiel and the other kits very much, and is protective of them to the point of being considered a helicopter mom.
Of all her kittoms, Katya worries about Bucky the most. He's foolhardy, full of unwarranted confidence, and honestly is not particularly talented in anything at all. He tends to talk big and get beat up by bigger kits.
Katya's younger brother. Her relationship with him is complicated- although she loves him and cares for him as a member of her family, she also can't help but resent him and his ever-present ability to outshine her in everything. To her, it feels like everything she can do, he can do better.
Although he didn't immediately retrieve them after their birth, Icarus is Katya and Volga's father. She regarded him with suspicion at first, but grew to admire him over time. They don't speak as often as they used to, but when she feels truly lost, there is no one she'd rather seek advice from.
Their relationship didn't end on the best of terms, but Katya and Sulahn are civil for the sake of their children. They are no longer in love, but Sulahn is welcome in Katya's home, and they still sometimes write to each other.
