There was a general aesthetic to Faerindell that seemed to appeal to Shale. He had no idea why, because he'd never really liked bright colors that much, and the amount of Faerie shrouds, flowers and trees were nothing that really called to him; he didn't particularly have a green thumb, so to speak, but what he did have was a keen sense of curiosity towards them, and the creatures that lurked around them too. The many flowers in the fields tended to hide secrets, squirreled away in them, and one of them was a snake he'd once spotted while reading a book.

He'd later find it's photo in another book, detailing the reptile was some sort of vine snake that prefered the top of the pink and other colored trees, dangling down from the branches among the flowers to lay in wait for prey to draw closer. It was a small snake, almost worm like; small enough its diet seemed to constitute of insects and the like that came to feast on the nectar of the hanging flowers that hid it from sight amongst its petals.

Its scales were ping and violet, perfect for camouflage withing the hanging petals, and Shale had noticed it'd lay so still, perfectly in sync with the movements of the branches of the trees in the wind, that he would have been hard pressed to notice its presence, had the creature not moved to relocate from a different section of the branch, clearly hunting some bees nearby.

He idly wondered if he'd spot the pink reptile again, now that he was actively looking for it as he was, but given how small and how stealthy it had been, the dark kittom had his doubts on the matter. Still, it didn't quite matter; the lovely stroll through the pink trees was reward enough on its own.
