A small, dark kittom sat in front of the window as he overlooked beach that lay in front of him. He scanned the white sandy beaches, and the crystal-clear sea from the tropical hut he was staying in. His vibrant green eyes watched everyone on the beach, many of which were celebrating with bright colours in their own way. He could see kittoms picking up the seaglass on the shore, and some adults decorating the palm trees with pennants in all the colours of all the rainbow. Bright beach towels with fancy patterns laid on the sand with cute weights pinning them down so the wind didn't blow them away. He could even see a few elnin painting on the beach under a bright, striped beach umbrella., though he couldn't make out what they were painting.

Thetis wasn't not immune to the colourful joy that was spreading across Eyre. Of course not. He found his eyes pulled to all the bright colours and the joys that stemmed from them. He just didn't feel like he had an outlet to enjoy them. He didn't feel like he was particularly creative and he never found the idea of painting on a canvas to be very interesting. Forms and figures WERE interesting, but not when they were 2D. He wanted to enjoy them in all their glory, and the way they moved around the world and existed in it.

He always found himself drawn more to clothes and their designs. How the fabric pooled on the body, and how they interacted with the motion of the wearer. The way certain fabrics were thicker and could hold their form, or how some were so light they were like gossamer itself. Of course, he was no designer. He didn't know how to sew, either.

As he watched the elnin on the beach celebrating in this way, he found himself wondering about how various colours would look on fabrics. He wondered if it was possible to make his own outfit inspired by the sight here and the celebratory colours that covered the world of Eyre right now. His paws on the handled the curtain hanging on the window, sliding up and down over the fabric with interest. It felt very soft, and very smooth.

He looked up and began tugging the curtains off the hook above the window until they fell down beside him. They were extremely colorful curtains, definitely suited to the island lifestyle. They were pale yellow with green palm leaves printed on them. That was a good base... what could he...? His eyes scanned around the hut. There was a beach towel hanging on the door that had bright tropical flowers printed on it. He grabbed it quickly, along with a cord that hung there.

On the table were scissors, and he found himself cutting up the flower print from the towel before he could even question it. It was like a whirl of fabric and colour as he collected the various flower prints from the towel. He left it all on the table by the door before he and hurried outside onto the beach where he made his way to the water.

The water was so clear that he could see the seaglass and seashells through the soft waves that rolled into the shore. His fur getting wet, he braved through it. He reached down into the water, scooping up scraps of seaglass that he found lying around down there, as well as seashells that he found. Thankfully, most of the seaglass was on the sand, having already been washed in. After some time, he went back into the hut with a purpose in mind... but not before stopping to collect some fishing line from outside.

He used the wire to wrap the seaglass and shells into a colourful netting of patterned glass with shells hanging around that was formed in the shape of a cape. The flowers from the towel were sewn onto the curtains with the leaf pattern, using the cord to create a belt that tied the outfit together.

It took all day, but eventually Thetis found himself with a snazzy outfit to commemorate the colours. It was brightly coloured with a yellow base; deep green palm leaves; colourful flowers of red, pink and orange; a fancy sailor collar made of green, blue and clear seaglass that was held together with fishing wire; and a cord of gold tied the outfit together. He was definitely proud, and feeling very celebratory.
