The little black kittom with the stark green eyes was spending his afternoon just lying in the sand, his paws protectively inside the edges of the blue and teal beach towel that was underneath him as to avoid the sand that threatened to cover every inch of his curly fur. He was avoiding the sand while on the beach but was it really so odd? He looked around with big, green eyes and studied his surroundings.

There were plenty of elnin on the white sand beach here, plenty more enjoying the crystal-clear waters all around. Some of the elnin were hanging up hammocks between some of the palm trees... which honestly seemed like a much better idea than what he was doing here on the sand. Some elnin were hanging out at the bar, which also was a solid plan if you wanted to enjoy the weather but avoid the sand but that was definitely more of an adult activity. Thetis lamented his options briefly and then repositioned himself so that he was looking out to the sea, admiring the landscape and the scenery.

Watching the clouds were definitely a lazy afternoon activity that Thetis could get behind, so long as he didn't get sandy in the process... which he was safe from on his very big towel. He laid back, carefully avoiding the edge of the towel so that he could properly reposition himself further, reaching peak coziness as his head laid down on the towel.

The sky was bright and blue, quite clear actually. The sun was bright and the sky was clear with a sprinkling of clouds that painted the sky above him. He stared up at the clouds with curiosity, studying them as he had studied the elnin on the beach earlier. Nothing stood out to him immediately, not until he really started to look at them. He could have sworn that cloud looked like an elnin. No. He could have sworn that cloud looked just like Hebe herself. The cloud was round and seemed to appear to be wearing a hat. A hat? Well, a cloud hat. And the clouds! The clouds weren't white! Not this one, at least. The cloud was a light purple, just like Hebe! Wait, was that normal? No, that definitely wasn't normal!

Thetis sat up, looking concerned. Was he missing Hebe that much that he was hallucinating? He looked back and forth, spotting more clouds that seemed peculiar along the way.

This one looked like a banana. It was long and narrow, and yellow! It was yellow! Then there was one that was round and red! It looked like an apple! Another set of clouds looked like grapes, small and grouped up like a bunch... and purple! Why was there a floating fruit salad in the sky all around a cloud that looked like Hebe?

Thetis looked around to see if anyone else was looking up, if anyone else was noticing this occurrence. He spotted a few kittoms on the beach looking up and pointing. He sighed a bit of relief, knowing he wasn't necessarily seeing things unless this was a shared hallucination... but what were the odds of that? He relaxed a little and laid back down. Well, seeing Hebe in the clouds wasn't the worst thing that could happen.

He laid there looking at the sky, watching the clouds as they passed by. It was just a little group of odd clouds, a brief passing of whimsy before they were gone. Perhaps he'd see something like that again? Maybe somewhere on the island Hebe was looking at some clouds that looked suspiciously like him.
