The sun was shining on this beautiful, spring day in Ealei. The sky was bright blue with absolutely pure white clouds climbing through the heights of the world as the ocean covered the horizon all around. The small rocks around the main island acted like a barrier, keeping the waters near the shore calm and clear. The town itself was on the coast, in the tree branches around the edge overlooking it.

The majority of the town used the tree branches as a base for building all the houses and the bridges that connected them all together but there were some buildings at the base, going all the way down the beach where the mangrove roots were.

The green eyes shined in the sun that broke through the tree canopy. He wasn't necessarily a shy kittom but he was a little hesitant. The little black fluffball with the curly fur and little welkin tail shuffled in his spot, watching the other elnin working on the spring cleaning. His eyes peered on the various activities, wondering which of the tasks would be suitable for him to do. He wanted to help but everyone seemed so set in their activities he wasn't sure if it would be a benefit for him to do so.

That's when he spotted a pale kittom with light purple undertones and little leopard spots. She had green eyes that he knew well, and she looked to be struggling carrying an item. This immediately turned on a switch in his head, and he bound over to help her out. As he got closer to her, he realized she was carrying a large bucket of soapy water and a few too many brooms tucked under her arms, probably bringing it over to assist with the cleaning.

"Let me help you," he said, very chivalrously.

"Thank you," she replied with a smile as he took the bucket from her arms so she could more easily carry the brooms.

"Follow me!" She announced, a grin on her face as she pulled the equipment tightly to her chest.

A big smile fell across his face as he watched her waddle down the path. He struggled to keep up with the big bucket, but it didn't deter him. It fueled him on to see Hebe so cheerful in her task.

He struggled fully, never quite getting a groove as he walked behind her. The bucket was definitely too big for her, and even still too big for him. It was definitely more scaled for an adult to carry than them. He slowly fell behind until he looked up and saw Hebe lifting up the other end of the bucket. She had already made it there with the brooms and had come back to help him.

"Let's go!" She announced, beaming as she grinned to him.

She really was amazing, he thought, as the two of them made quick work together. Upon getting to the destination, the two set the bucket down in front of the brooms, and then she handed him one of the hard bristled brooms. The action didn't require additional instructions as he took the broom and dunked it into the soapy bucket of water before pushing it along the wooden floors.

Brushing back and forth, the two of them didn't make quick work of the task. They goofed around, played and laughed as they did so. By the time night was falling, the two of them had finished a task that might have taken half the time for another but twice as long alone.

It was good work, and Thetis was pleased he had contributed with the cleaning. Perhaps tomorrow there would be more he could do, maybe together with Hebe.
