Submission (#834) Approved

It was just meant to be some simple and relaxing holidays, but knowing Hedera, she should have guessed that –of course- it would be more than that.

Isabelle looked at the clouds gathering in the dark skies. Another one of these strange light storms was about to start.
It was fine, this phenomenon was harmless and to be true, quite pleasant to look at.
Also the sight here, was just breath taking.

From where she sat, she could contemplate Yggdrasil itself and a good part of the West Ealei coast.
Port Phtalo was a very nice place, even for some Faerindell uptown girl’s standards.
It was exotic but really comfortable, not talking about the food, everything looked so fresh and delicious… it was hard to resist at the tasty smells  floating in the streets… Some dishes sure looked a bit weird, and… maybe a bit rustic sometimes but it was truly worth to try !

The city itself was something too…  Of course she’d heard about the cities in the trees and to be honest she always figured it was some kind of small village… She had no idea that big towns could be build from… No land ! Small and bigger hunts and houses sprouted on every branch big enough to support them, and even where there was nothing, people here managed to build entire districts on the water, taking advantage of the roots near the surface and when it was not possible anymore… Creating a full neighborhood of boats linked together since so long that it was indeed some floating village.

Unlike Hedera, she didn’t travel much in her life.
So it was an easy guess to tell that she’d never seen anything like this before.

She gazed at the sky. The darkness of the clouds offered a lovely contrast with the turquoise waters below. Perhaps…
Yay… It could do a wonderful coat !

She smiled as the small colorfull rain began to fall, and cuddled a pomu shapped doll against her. Poor Graëll…  There was no falling stars this year, so she wished under the rainbow raindrops that her pomu would soon be back to his normal self.

Hedera was right, this travel was the best medicine against her gloomy mood. It’s been weeks, perhaps months since she didn’t get any inspiration. Days were running fast, one just like the other, and she didn’t feel the spark of excitement while working that she felt few years ago when she opened her boutique in Elenion.
Here, there was so much top see and experience. The market she spent her afternoon in was so exotic, so different, so colorfull… So inspiring.
She should have taken her notebook with her.

The travel itself was fun. Hedera had gathered some interesting elnins around her in this caravan where there was always more room for a new roulette…
Also the kittoms were really adorable and cute. She would have trouble to resist the urge to keep all fabric scraps to make them new clothes. It would probably save Hed from some more expenses.

The more she thought about it, the clearer it grew. She could join this caravan.

She was a successful business woman in Faerindell, and if Hedera was great with plants, she couldn’t balance a checkbook to save her life. She needed someone good with numbers, a real shop organization, with… Well-kept accounts books and all.
And Isabelle knew that she was all this, and even more.

Spending some more time on the roads around the world with her cousin was a delightful perspective.
She liked a lot this idea.

Yes, she would say yes.

But she would let the kittoms beg for it before.
