The blue was bright and clear with large, fluffy white clouds that spanned the entire length of the sky. They reached heavens above and met the sea, stretching across the entire horizon of the sea. Both small and large rocks peeked out of the sea as if bordering Ealei's region protectively. They both pushed the sea aside as the rocks pushed out of the surface of the sea but also became buried by the waves as they rolled into shore.

Large, brown roots looked to be descending from the sky and reaching into the shallows of the seabed all around Ealei... or were they ascending out of the sea into the sky? It was a deep, questioning thought that went right over the head of the kittom who briefly considered it. She liked the idea of sketching the roots, something she liked to do in her downtime, as the roots always seemed to look differently every time she looked at them which made for an expressive render each time.

Ice, the kittom with the briefly deep thoughts, stood on a small dock that protruded from the bedrock of the island. It was more like a wharf, I suppose, but she didn't know the difference. The white kittom with the fiery red and orange markings had a quizzical expression on her face as she stood there staring out into the sea, her eyes scanning from the roots into the water around the dock specifically. The strange expression on her face shifted into a bit of a smirk as she approached the edge of the dock with a wicker basket in one paw and a pole with a net on the end in the other.

All around the dock were manaberries. They were small, blueish teal berries with golden star markings on them. They would fall from the canopy of the lower branches of the tree and land safely in the water where they would either be eaten by the fish, or be gathered by intrepid kittoms like Ice. Now, she didn't have anything in mind for the manaberries but she hoped she'd be able to trade them to another elnin for something she could use. Maybe more art supplies? She considered it as she watched as the waves pushed the berries back and forth against dock and the wall of the island. They were gettingg close now and had settled into a good group that could potentially be a lot easier to gather now. Ice used the net in her paw to scoop them out of the water. She would then pile them into the wicker basket and and make another go at it.

She had gathered quite a few of the manaberries when she saw something strange fall from the sky and hit the water. It was sudden, and very light. She didn't know what it was. It was a light blue... maybe more manaberries were falling?

Then suddenly another one fell. This one was light pink.

Another. This one was light green.

They were all very light with pastel hues that made it more visible to the naked eye. However, she didn't know what this was! Suddenly it was falling like rain! She looked around, unsure what to do! She had heard tales of this before, but she'd never experienced it before. Was it safe? She couldn't quite remember. She tried to keep her composure as she took the manaberries she had collected and moved to cover.

It was under the canopy of some roots and leaves that she found the light showers to be quite beautiful. She watched them, and after a moment, she pulled out her sketchbook from her bag. Maybe now was a good time to draw the roots again... after all, they definitely looked different now. Maybe once in a million.
