At the very heart of Silveil,during the eternal hush of night, lies the Starlake, an expanse of water so dark that it looks like a mirror of the sky itself. Stars reflect against its surface, caught in the gentle undulations of the lake's currents, their light scattering. But below this glassy lake, hidden in the deep depths, the true heart of Silveil slumbers, the Eldertree.

Ancient beyond anyone's memory, Sikveil's Eldertree is unlike any of the other regions. It does not rise toward the sky but instead plunges downward, its massive, gnarled trunk twisting into the abyss beneath the lake. Its bark, dark and weathered, bears the weight of countless years, cracked and furrowed. The tree's branches coil through the water like drifting tendrils, while its roots reach upwards, toward the lake’s surface.

Soft lights flicker through the waters, cast by the countless jellyfish that drift through the Eldertree. Their see thru bodies pulse with hues of blues and white, illuminating the branches in a beautiful glow. They weave between the twisting limbs, their ghostly tendrils curling through the currents.

Life clings to the tree in abundance, despite the lake’s silent depths. Thick strands of seaweed coil around the trunk, their fleshy green fronds swaying gently, offering sustenance to the creatures that call the Starlake home. Tiny, darting fish, each with sparkling scales that catch and scatter the jellyfish’s glow, nestle within the Eldertree’s branches, slipping between crevices in the bark or vanishing into the shifting tangle of branxhes below.

Encircling the lake, jagged stones rise from the shallows, their rough surfaces slick with a fine sheen of moss and algae that glow with a faint bioluminescence. The glow clings to the edges of the water, adding another layer of light to the darkness. Between the rocks, small patches of night blooming flora spread their fragile petals to the air, their colors lost to shadow but their glow unmistakable.

And above it all, the surface of the Starlake remains still, a perfect illusion of the endless sky. To gaze into its depths is to see infinity, an endless expanse where stars hang suspended.
