Shiro was perched atop a grassy hill in Faerindell. The giant sakura Eldertree was looming in the distance and he purred softly as he munched on a small pastry. The region was famous for its rolling green hills, pink-blossomed trees, and dense clusters of Fairy Shrouds.
Today he wanted to investigate a peculiar plant he’d read about in an old book titled Mystical Botany of Faerindell. 

The book mentioned an odd plant called the "Amberlight”. According to the handwritten text, it only grew in hidden clearings where sunlight filtered through dense amounts of Fairy Shrouds, creating a colorful rainbow glow. The Amberlight was described as a low-growing plant with broad, velvety leaves that shimmered faintly like the setting sun. At its center, clusters of bell-shaped flowers hung like tiny lanterns, their petals glowing with a soft, warm yellow. These flowers produced a golden nectar that, when collected, was said to bring a burst of energy and joy to anyone who tasted it.

Naturally, Shiro had to check out these flowers for himself! After all, he wanted to make good use of his time in Faerindell and explore as much as he could before he moved on.

He prepared everything he needed very carefully; a sketchbook, a quill, and a small vial for collecting nectar. Once everything was stored securely, the kittom began his journey into the heart of Faerindell. The Fairy Shrouds guided him, and grew in numbers, the closer he got. As sunlight streamed through the pink trees, Shiro followed the books’ description, making his way through the thick underbrush and wildflowers; towards a secluded clearing.

When he arrived, Shiro stopped in his tracks. The clearing was bathed in a golden light as sunbeams pierced through the leaves and in the center grew the Amberlight. Its curly leaves fanned out like an orange and red carpet, catching the light and amplifying its warmth. The bell-shaped flowers swayed gently, their glowing petals casting a soft, flickering radiance over the mossy ground surrounding the plant. Shiro crouched low, his tail swishing full of excitement as he studied the plant.

He observed how the Amberlights flowers seemed to absorb the sunlight, glowing brighter with each passing moment. The nectar dripped slowly from the tips of the flowers, forming tiny golden beads that sparkled. Shiro carefully dipped a paw into one of the flowers and tasted the nectar. It was incredibly sweet, with a hint of citrus and honey, and as soon as he swallowed, he felt a surge of warmth and energy that made his paws tingle. The scent was intriguing as well; warm and inviting. Somehow, it smelled like home. 

Using his quill, he sketched the Amberlight; his eyes darting between the plant and the paper, trying to note all its unique traits. How the leaves layered slightly on top of each other, all different shades of warm tones, becoming lighter towards the center of the plant. He noticed how the plant seemed to thrive with the dappled sunlight and the damp, fertile soil of the clearing. He even discovered small creatures - tiny birds with iridescent feathers and vibrant wings - buzzing among the blossoms, drinking the nectar and spreading the plants pollen.

As the day slowly faded away, Shiro packed his satchel, giving the Amberlight one last, admiring glance.
"You’re like a piece of the sun," he whispered, his heart yearning to take a part of the flower home with him. But alas; the nectar was enough. He wondered if it could be used for baking? Definitely something he had to look up in the book again, just to make sure.
