The ocean of Ealei is vast and teeming with life. At its center, the tall tree of Yggdrasil resides. Mangroves are sprouted across its region, perfect for many creatures to live in. The roots of the trees span far and wide, allowing the mangroves to expand in a vast array. A lake surrounds the trees that the tree is centred in. Amongst the corals, the schools of fish, the plants, and all of the wildlife in between, a small elnin resides. 

Named Levi, the young nin has come across an egg, and is profoundly curious of the object. He sniffs it, making sure it isn’t a potential threat, and finds it to be an object of interest. Finding it amongst the roots of the trees that surround Yggdrasil, he decides to carry it back to the waters they reside in. He decides to take the egg back to a secluded area underneath the water’s depths, where it would be safe from any potential predators that may see it as a tasty morsel.
Levi proceeds to build a nest for the egg, as he believes it will feel more safe and secure as it will feel it is in a more natural habitat, especially once whatever the egg is hatches. Levi keeps watch over the egg as if it were his own, making sure it is safely secured inside the nest. Retrieving what he can from the mangrove roots, he adjusts and manufactures the nest until he is satisfied that it contains the egg safely.
Levi notices that this egg gives off a faint glow, as if there is mystique or magic residing within its shell. It raises his curiosity more, but he knows deep down that somehow, as long as he can wait and proceed to keep the egg safe from any harm or danger, the wait will pay off for him and be beneficial.
Levi proceeds to visit the nest every day, anxious in anticipation of what is contained inside. He carefully examines the egg upon each visit to make sure it is still intact, safe, and has no scratches or marks that could potentially be harmful to the creature that lay within. He wonders to himself, it must only be a matter of time before this egg hatches and I can discover what secrets I may have been guarding all this time. The egg continues to lay and reside in the nest, and Levi waits.

The elnin treats the egg as if it was to be his own child. He decides a nest is good, but there could be more security to it. He decides to collect seaweed to create a functional blanket around the egg for extra added protection. He is satisfied with his work, as the egg is more secure and safe than before. He also decides to build a house of sorts for the nest to reside in. He can also add things that may provide warmth if the egg needs it, as the depths of the waters in Ealei could possibly get quite cold, especially in the darkness of night where there is no light to keep the waters warmer.
With a housing implementation finished for the nest, Levi double checks to make sure his work is up to snuff, and that there is no potential way for something on the structure to break down or fall apart. Satisfied with his work, the egg is now safe, secure, warm if need be, and, when the time comes, it will be able to hatch in a well-protected environment. The work has been finished, and now the time must pass as the egg continues to allow the creature inside to grow and develop. Levi’s anticipation grew by the day.
