The leaves of the Gloaming Willow are where the willow tree is really special. Thin and elongated, they are in the shape of stars, with the leaves being different shades of blue, the leaves glowing dimly, while the edges glow more intensly under the dark sky. The glow of the leaves are in a constant flux, making the tree look like it's pulsing, or shimmering with light as the glow moves throughout the leaves. The Gloaming Willow looks as if it's a  part of the stary sky, like the stars fell and became one with the tree itself.  This gentle illumination is the main a signature aspect of the Gloaming Willow.

The roots of the Gloaming Willow are a tangled network, spreading deep and wide beneath the soft earth. As they absorb the nutrients from the soil, they emit a faint bioluminescence beneath the earth, making the soil around the tree's base glow with the faint blues that the leaves have.

Many fauna that are herbivores find the Gloaming Willow's leaves to be rich in nutrients, making the tree a staple in many animal's lives in Silveil. Additionally, if the leaves are properly taken care of and stored when pluked from the branches, they can retain their glow, making them popular among florists, resin workers, and jewelers
