Faerindell is known for a variety of different and colorful features. From the pink leafed trees to the generous flowers growing most everywhere in the region, one would be hard pressed to find a stretch of land that isn’t popping with color.

The farm fields of Faerindell are no exception. While it would be a little redundant for farmers to grow flowers in their farm fields, colors of different shades have managed to find their way into crops in ways that aren’t seen in any other region, nor outside of Eyre.

One such crop is aptly named the Faerindell Potato. Regular potatoes already come in several colors, including brown, yellow, and purple. The leaves of the potato plant are also a typical shade of green, and their flowers a shade of white to light purple. However, after many years of being grown in the region of Faerindell, a new breed of delicious potatoes have emerged right under the nose of dedicated farmers.

Faerindell Potatoes come in a wide variety of colors. Instead of a typical brown color, Faerindell Potatoes primarily have a dark pink skin. When peeled, the flesh of the potato is a lighter shade of pink. These potatoes have been found in other colors as well - blue, red, orange, green ( which have caused Eyre residents to second guess trying it ). There have even been some Faerindell Potatoes that have two-toned skin, with the flesh inside being a combination of those two colors ( red and blue skin resulting in purple, ect.).

Another noticeable difference between these regional potatoes and typical ones are the colors of the plant stems and leaves. Instead of being a leafy green, the stems of Faerindell Potatoes are a deep blue, and the leaves grow in different colors. Bright red, orange, yellow, purple, or a combination of those four colors are typically seen. The flowers that grow from these plants generally have either green or blue petals.

When it comes to taste, the Faerindell Potatoes taste like regular potatoes. To everyone’s surprise, even the green ones taste the same as all the other Faerindell Potatoes. Elnin have found that Faerindell Potatoes are best used for mashing, baking, and frying. This has led to the Faerindell Potato being incorporated into a variety of dishes, and is a common treat to be found in big celebrations and parties for an easy way to add color to the buffet and snack table.
