Enmir is not a place for the faint of heart or those easily spooked by things that go 'bump' in the night. The murky waters are teeming with all manners of creatures, from slithering snakes, to terribly ugly toads, and all sorts of in-between. The ground is soft when venturing near the water and unstable, making it easy to slip and land face-first in mysterious muck. The winding branches with low light make it easy to get lost within a labyrinth of twisting paths that wind throughout Enmir. But for those who are brave enough to venture into Enmir, there are great stories to be shared with others.

Stories told of abandoned abodes and mysterious sounds heard only late at night tend to steer away young kittoms that are faint of heart. However, those who can brave the dark woods tend to find beauty within the brittle branches. Despite these dangers within, Enmir is a place of mysterious beauty. The trees are home to countless species of birds and animals, who do well despite the lack of light and the waters teem with fish and other aquatic creatures. Scientists to this day are still uncovering new species that were previously unknown. The swamp is also a vital home to plants that can make medicine and create other resources for locals, who have learned to navigate its winding waters and woven branches to extract what they need without disturbing the delicate ecosystem that is held within.

So much is still unknown about Enmir and certain areas of Shaedmoor, such as how the dark recesses within the swamps are sustained without much sunlight; recent theories point to a vast underground network of fungi that not only nourish the soil but also feed from the abundance of mana exhausted by the manatree. Then there are areas such as the Cindermarsh, that are so vastly different despite sharing similar ecological key species, but don't require such murky conditions as within the more central part of the swamp. So who shall be the next fair individual sent within to uncover such secrets?
