Kyendi is famous for its floating island in various shapes being held up by sunshard crystals. These islands can have various things on them, from simple grass ones while bigger islands even have trees and river on top of them, water flowing down to the next ones and ending in some lakes. Most plants growing on the trees are variants that are also found anywhere else on the normal ground, flowers and even some berry bushes growing and thriving. Recently there had been a new sighting though. All plants are always looking for sunlight, growing up towards it. Since more and more roads have been built and lanterns along with them, there is now not only the light source on top but also the light coming from homes and lanterns at night. Some flowers that grow at the edges of the floating islands and in the cracksof the crystals could never fully develop as they didn't get enough sunlight, always living in the shadow. In the last weeks there have been new reports of Elnin seeing flowers bloom brightly at night. These flowers are drawn in by the light coming from underneath. During daytime the flowers close off and are almost hidden between the crystal parts. During night they bloom open. Most of them are small, not bigger than an Elnins paw, with round petals in various colors, ranging from white, yellow, purple to dark indigo. Some of the flowers are getting quite large though, easily the size of an Elnins head. There are some speculations if the size of the flower correlates with the size of the island and if they might draw some sort of energy from the sunshard crystals or if the sunshard crystals just reflect the light in a way that makes the flowers grow bigger. Only a few islands above parts with lots of light have these flowers but those that do almost look like the floating islands are being held up by flowers. Noone has picked any of the flowers yet and Kittoms got warned not to try as they could easily slip and fall over an edge.
