"I don't know about this." Mio looked around; they were both high up in the branches of Yggdrasil. The giant eldertree of Ealei reached to the heavens and branched across the ocean. Mio could hear the faint waves crashing against bedrock, while he and River were quite high up, surrounded by clouds and the dancing leaves of the tree. Here and there were blue crystals poking out of the foliage - and mana berries were growing in clusters not far from them. It was sunny and windy, and while Mio enjoyed the view, he did not like the branches under his paws swaying in the wind.

"Well, if we want to examine the birds - we have to go where the birds are." River grinned at him, while Mio glared at his friend in return.

"You're not helping. I did not sign up for this." Mio was hesitant. After his adventures in Kyendi, he was not a fan of nature anymore and he really preferred to stay in the cities and villages.

"It's okay, the tree is safe. We will be fine~"

"... Geez, I wonder where I've heard that before."

While reaching for a book, Mio caught a glimpse of River sticking his tongue out, before the purple elnin jumped to another branch and looked for signs of the bird they were hunting. Meanwhile, Mio needed to refresh his memory and read through the guide book they borrowed from the local library.

“With its medium size, the Aurora Plumefeather bird stands out. Its long curled feathers have a pearlescent white hue that catches the eye. These feathers are decorated with detailed silver metallic markings, resembling delicate filigree patterns. With its wide wings, the bird can effortlessly glide through the air, creating a captivating sight as it flies high above the clouds.

The Plumefeather has adapted to its surroundings in remarkable ways.

As it lives in the highest treetops of the Eldertree, its feathers possess natural charm that help it blend seamlessly with the clouds, providing both camouflage and protection from potential predators. The bird has a sleek and elegant body, with feathers that shine in a pearly white color. These feathers are smooth and slightly see-through, creating a beautiful effect when light passes through them.
The bird's body is small but nimble, perfect for quick and precise movements in the sky and navigating the dense foliage of the Eldertree.
Its eyes are a captivating shade of blue, reflecting the vastness of the skies and oceans in Ealei. Looking into its gaze, one can feel a deep sense of ancient wisdom and mystery.
The tail of the Aurora Plumefeather is long and elegantly tapered, adorned with elongated silver feathers that trail behind the bird like a flowing train. As the bird maneuvers through the sky, its tail feathers leave a subtle trail of glittering stardust.

The primary sustenance of the bird comes from the mana berries that grow abundantly on the Eldertree. These berries are an excellent source of nourishment and color the tips of the wings in blue hues. The bird is also known to occasionally feed on shattered crystal splinters, extracting vital nutrients that contribute to its radiant plumage.

These birds are known for their graceful and harmonious flight patterns, often performing intricate aerial dances above the clouds. They are highly intelligent creatures with a gentle demeanor, and legend has it that their melodic songs can be heard echoing through the Eldertree, spreading enchantment to those lucky enough to witness the spectacle.
In local folklore, the Aurora Plumefeather is regarded as a symbol of good fortune and is believed to bring blessings to those who encounter it.”
