Lenore's workshop, which was usually a haven used to make many different glass items, while also giving the many sounds and soft hums of creativity, now gave off a different melody - one with the sounds of sculpting tools meeting clay, accompanied by the occasional sighs and mutterings of a determined artisan.

The shift from glassblowing to sculpting gave way to many different challenges that Lenore willingly embraced. Her white and blue fur now wore faint traces of clay, showing off her dedication to mastering this new art form.

She had set her sights on sculpting a bust of herself, a bold endeavor as she would try to capture the many different intricacies of Elnin features, such as the feline face, in addition to her horns, and lastly, the fur. The fine details demanded a gentle, yet precise touch, a feat she thought she had from glass making, but found it to be far more difficult than she had initially thought.

Lenore sat among her array of sculpting tools, her gaze fixed upon the lump of clay before her. With a determined yet uncertain expression, she rolled up her sleeves and reached for the clay, feeling its pliability beneath her toe beans.

"Let's see how this goes," she murmured to herself, a hint of uncertainty lacing her voice. The clay seemed to mock her attempts as she attempted to mold it into the semblance of her own features.

The initial strokes were hesitant, her paws searching for the shapes of her face that she had long studied in the mirror. The clay yielded, yet the fine details eluded her. She furrowed her brow, muttering under her breath as she tried to capture the elegance of Elnin features.

"Glassblowing is far far easier," she mused quietly, a flicker of frustration in her blue

eyes. The clay seemed to have a will of its own, resisting her attempts to coax it into the likeness she wanted.

With each attempt, she studied her own features with a renewed intensity, observing the subtle curves and lines that made an Elnin's face unique. Her paws danced across the clay, attempting to replicate the gentle slopes of her cheeks, the curve of her ears, and the incredibly annoying patterns of fur.

Her mutterings echoed through the workshop - a mix of frustration and determination. "The curve isn't quite right... and the ears, they're too small."

The clay, while pliable at first, seemed to have a mind of its own. Lenore sighed softly, a blend of exasperation and determination in her expression. But amidst the challenges, there was a determination that fueled her efforts, the drive to master this new art form and hone her skills as an artisan.

She persisted, each attempt bringing her closer to being able to mold the insufferable lump of clay. As she worked, there was a delicate dance between her toe beans and the pliable substance, which turned into a study of patience and precision.

With every stroke and manipulation of the clay, Lenore delved deeper and deeper into the many intricacies of Elnin features; the subtle arcs of her cheekbones, the graceful tapering of her ears, and the beauty of deep blue eyes. The clay yielded under her touch, gradually conforming to her desires, although with a measure of resistance.

Her workshop became a place of dedication and diligence. The discarded clay formed a small mound, showing her perseverance to continue working, despite the many setbacks she had. Each rejected attempt held a lesson for her to learn, a small glimpse into the complexities of sculpting and the nuances of Elnin anatomy.

As she worked, mutterings escaped her lips, a slew of self-critique and determination. "The curve needs more definition... perhaps the ears should be a tad larger. Sigh"

The clay, once a vague mass, slowly transformed under her skillful paws. It finally started to show a decent resemblance to herself, even if it was in a raw and unrefined state. Imperfect, yet perfect in its own way, the clay sculpture emerged, showing off Lenore’s commitment to this new skill she wished to learn.

Lenore's eyes scrutinized the sculpture, her gaze assessing every aspect of it. She observed the delicate lines and contours with a critical eye, seeking the perfect balance between precision and artistry. Her lips curled into a soft smile, finally a small triumph amidst the challenges encountered.

"It's shaping up," she murmured to herself, a note of satisfaction in her voice. The perseverance invested in sculpting her own likeness had granted her insight.

The differences of Elnin features finally began to show themselves through the sculpting process. Each stroke of the tool, each small adjustment, allowed her to grasp the nuances.

Lenore paused, taking a step back to admire her creation. The clay bust held a semblance of her features, an imperfect yet remarkable achievement. It stood to show that her relentless pursuit of mastery gave way to learning new skills, building a foundation upon which she would create future creations.

With a newfound sense of determination and excitement, she cleaned her workspace, her paws lingering on the remnants of discarded clay. The challenges encountered in sculpting her own likeness were stepping stones, a sort of prelude to the grand vision she held dear. She hoped to one day be able to sculpt the most beautiful and intricate sculpture of all time, that would depict her dear friend Opal, who would be nestled among the precious jewels she had collected.

As Lenore tidied her tools and surveyed her workspace, her heart beat with anticipation. The difficulties she had encountered while sculpting herself were part of the journey all artisans must go through before mastering an art. It showed off her dedication, as well as the ever constant thirst to learn something new.
