Loki had never really traveled with anyone before. He'd always been more of a solitary soul, and though that didn't mean he was lonely, per say, it did mean he tended to spend a lot of time alone. Having Fu travel with him had been an interesting experience, and the fact she'd chosen to follow him to Ealei, no small feat on her part, he was sure of it. She wasn't exactly made for the weather the region had, and something about the water seemed to make her squint and edge away from it.

When she'd first come across the deep waters, with the roots and the trees sprawling the terrain, it was clear she wasn't entirely sure what to make of it. It had taken him a while to coax her into climbing the roots and peering into the crystal clear waters to observe the local fauna and flora, so different from the region she was used to.

They'd had to spent most of their time under the sprawling elder tree, Loki having excitedly explained that it was, in fact, Yggdrasil itself, and how the massive tree anchored the whole region in place flawlessly. She hadn't said much about it, but it clear from the way she'd looked up into the branches, that she'd been impressed by the scope of it, and had also been quite thankful for the shade it offered. Her coat was, after all, quite thick and used to snow, and the difference in temperature had made traveling Ealei a bit dire in some places. They'd have to take many a rest and more than one swim among the roots to allow her to recover.

It was, however, the tree cities that had actually fascinated the white pelted nin, and Loki had been more than happy to spend time simply existing in the village, high among the trees. Fu was, after all, one of the only nin he knew that could stay in the same room as he was, while he was reading, without making a massive fuss.

He had high hopes that when it was time to move on, she'd wish to follow suit. Time would tell.
