As a land known for its all manner of blossoms, florets, blooms, and other botanicals, Faerindell’s most colorful fairy blooms easily overshadow all other plants in the region.  However, one humble flower has become Ren’s favorite over his short visits to the region.  Oftentimes referred to as the Woodland Lily, the flower can easily blend into the background with its slender, silver-hued stems that weave gently in a graceful dance with even the slightest wind.

The plant boasts star-shaped blossoms well-regarded for their elegance, each petal a myriad of soft colors that range from subtle silvers to pale blues.  These blooms are known to add a gentle charm to the Woodland lily, creating picturesque scenes that harmonize with the more popular bright pink, blue, and purple blossoms found clinging from every fence, flower box, and tree branch in Faerindell.  While modest in size, these flowers collectively ensure the more magical tones of the woodlands stand out on a background of ivory whites and gentle silvers and blues.

In particular, the Woodland Lilly is set apart by its subtle sweet fragrance.  Any approaching elnin can recognize the flower by a gentle aroma reminiscent of a blend of wildflowers and soft cherry blossoms, leading to its popular use in oils and ointments.  The scent is gentle and inviting, proving favorable even to the most sensitive noses, enhancing its desire in common use.

While a simple plant from the outset, easily dismissed among the cacophony of brilliant colors, Woodland Lilies actually play a crucial rule to the health of the more vibrant blossoms and cherry trees.  Woodland Lilies linger in the roots of the trees, and help bring crucial nutrients and fortify the soil helping fostering the flourishing ecosystem.  As such, the simple plant can be said to embody the delicate balance between the terrestrial realities of the fertile soils of Ferindell, and the magic of the painted world hanging over every tree branch.
