It’s cold in Strynhalde. Very, very cold. Tuna shivered, pulling her fluffy cloak closer to her body, and looked around the plaza. She came here to purchase some more supplies for her craft room. It is Tuna’s DREAM to one day be a well known seamstress. She would love to create beautiful ball gowns that highly ranked royals would wear to balls and parties. Though it would be even more wonderful if she could help craft armor for pathfinder teams, since she knows her best friend’s mom and her friends are a part of a pathfinder team. Tuna got to see them with Trout once, they were all so strong looking it baffles her still! Just how could these nin be so strong?

Shaking her head, Tuna continued along her way. Today she was wearing an outfit she designed for when she had to go on long treks, such as this one where she traveled all the way to Strynhalde for some unique sewing items. She wore a long wool cloak that draped over her knee length fleece dress that had leather padding on the bodice and a leather belt that her personal pocket lantern could equipt to. Her boots were knee length and made of a tough, high quality, leather that matched her backpack, both of which are adorned with golden buttons and buckles. It was the perfect, cute and fashionable, adventuring outfit, with plenty of space to put the spools, needles, and fabrics she needs to stock up on.

There were so many stores lined with all different kinds of foods and merchandise. Even though the day was rather brisk, there were tons of Elnin walking about, their various kinds of shoes creating a medley of clicks along the lovely cobble paths. One store finally caught Tuna’s eye. It was a lovely white brick building with a pale gray rooftop. Behind one of the display windows, was a magnificent sewing machine. A pretty nin sat at the table, sewing something together. In the store space behind her, sat some mannequins with recently made articles of clothing, ranging from fluffy scarfs to big woolly coats, to snow hats. Further back, were racks, upon racks, of fabrics. There were plenty of fabrics to her to take her picks on.

The bell on the door chimed as she gently pushed it open, the sewing nin stopping to smile and give greetings, which Tuna returned with her own smile. The floor was shiny and cleanly swept through although the welcome mat was slightly damp, the color a darker maroon than normal, from snow that was brought in by the customer's feet. There were more racks that she initially noticed in an off room, this time filled with different kinds of pelt and furs. Tuna ran her hand along some of them, very pleased with how soft and luxurious they felt. She picked up several, a rusty brown wolf pelt and a bundle of soft white rabbit pelts, and placed them into her woven wooden hand basket. Tuna felt very excited to use these in come more winter outfits for her best friend, Trout, and her older sister, Alina. She was aware how both needed some warmer clothing added to their wardrobes. The soft white rabbit fur would be perfect for lining the inside of a coat for Alina, and the wolf fur would make Trout some really nice new boots. Now all Tuna needed to pick up was some leather and some warm woolly fabrics.

Walking over to the rest of the fabrics, Tuna spotted some fabric rolls of cotton. They were in various bright colors like pink and green and seeing them really inspired Tuna to make a blanket for Trout. Tuna picked out a nice warm green and a beautiful teal that had a gorgeous black diamond pattern on it.

"Making a blanket for someone?" Tuna startled and turned to look at who spoke. It was the pretty white nin who was sewing at the front of the shop. She smiled down at Tuna and took the fabrics out of her hand. "Here, follow me, I can show you how to make a blanket stitch."

"Oh! Thank you so much!" Tuna grinned and followed the she-nin, who led her to the fabric cutting section, shearing off about three yards of the two fabrics and setting the rolls to the side to be put back on the shelves later. She then led Tuna to another off room that had comfy chairs and tables set up for some class the nin probably held on the weekends.

They sat together at a table where there was already some other cotton fabrics that the white nin was working on. "I'm making a blanket for my husband and saw you browsing the store. It's not a hassle if you'd like to make a blanket with me!"

"Thank you so much! I'd love to! I thought my friend would really like these colors on a blanket!" Tuna took a seat and let herself be handed some pins and began pinning the two colors together.

Once she was done, Tuna pulled out her needles from her backpack, which she had set down next to the table, and watched as the white nin showed her the back and forth motions of the blanket stitch. Tuna carefully followed suit, making sure she was doing it one hundred percent correctly so she wouldn't leave extra holes in the blanket. Once it looked like she fully got the hang of it, the white nin went back to her own blanket, sewing together a piece of white cotton fabric to another piece of cotton fabric, this time blue white white spots.

An hour or so passed in silence as the two finished up their blankets. Tuna was really glad she came to Strynhalde with her mom, and even though she didn't get to spend much time with her, she did get to make this beautiful blanket for Trout, which she held out to admire once she was finished. It was gorgeous though not nearly as neat as the white she-nins, Tuna was sure Trout was going to love it!
