Pago Cabbage, a unique vine-rooted plant that grows in the storm lands of Azha.

3 main edible sections:
Leaf - bitter, nutrient dense. Use sparingly to not overwhelm kittoms with the horrible taste (finely chopped and added to a salad or cooked into other foods is best)
Pod - watery, crunchy, with an aloe-like slime that can be used for thickening soups and sauces. Has very little flavor by itself
Pago fruit - the orange sections in the center of the pod, has a sweet mango-papaya fusion flavor

This plant has evolved to survive in the harsh weather of the storm lands, the vines are actually roots that allow the main bulb to float during flooding. The wide leaves help with buoyancy by spreading out across the surface of deeper water like a boat. Oddly the leaves do not get much sunlight due to the constant thunderstorms, so their purpose seems to be only for keeping the main pod out of the water and storing nutrients.
