Even though she loves the comfort of her reading nook at home, Valerie has always been a fan of the bright, warm beaches. The library has always been her place of comfort, her safe haven. Her books were her portal to the many places she wished to visit. There were many place the little purple Kittom has read about. Although she has not gotten to visit many places, there was one place she has been to and wish to return to again. It was unlike her home, but Val loved it regardless. She loved feeling the soft sands between her toes, and the gentle breeze brushing through her fur.

During her last vacation, she went with her sibling to the Palu'au Islands. It was a new experience, nothing like what the books prepared her for. It is one to read passages after passages of other Nins riding the waves to harrowing adventures, but it is another to experience it yourself. While on her trip, Valerie got to go exploring - ducking through trees and bushes, splashing around the waters, and trying new kinds of food. She got to battle ferocious foes – most of them food-stealing birds, but they were battles nonetheless! She met many other Nins who showed her their kindness. The trip was a waking dream.
