I'm SO SORRY my bad I had originally picked Aspirations but since that one and Day job a right next to each other I liked the idea better but missed the ADULT only part D:. Decided to pick a different act to try to connect to the next story without having to edit that one. Hopefully this works :) was able to use a bit of the story and add some bits. Also got permission from Kat to use Faera as she was trying to help me ;- ;

The days had been long and most of the time Vesper had less and less energy to have some fun after working. Things had been different here as the kittom was often bursting with energy even after a day's work. But here he often found himself dozing off during and after work. He had finally met his match and the extent of his burst of energy while doing farm work. The sun was hot but not as much as it was in Ahza but being exposed to the sunrays and the open fields really was different than the hot dry sun from Ahza. Somehow Vesper and his pomu found it hotter here. It was probably attributed to the field and gathering work. They often had to carry heavy tools and baskets full of crops. They basically had to do all the grunt work for all the other workers. It was hard for a kittom and his little shadow to haul so much stuff for a whole day. Gone were their days of them gathering petals from the beautifully fragrant trees. One might be able to attribute their lack of energy due to the aura of Faerindell, which was fae-touched. For a little kittom was usually bursting with endless energy this tranquil and serene air wasn’t really his grove. This was the first time however he had ever gathered so much coinage, but he also had found himself sleeping more than he ever had in his whole lifetime. 

 

He had been apprenticing with Faera who had been showing the ropes of fieldwork and at first he was really loving it but learning slowly. This was the first time in his life that Vesper has struggled so much to learn a skill. The tasks were simple enough but somehow he ran low on energy when he needed it the most. Poor Faera found the little kittom sleeping in the fields so often she couldn’t even count anymore. Even with the help of Fireworks his pomu, Vesper only managed to do half the work that the other workers could accomplish. It seemed the kittom was struggling to learn how to pace. The Faenin took her time to teach him how to take his time and work proficiently multiple times, but Vesper had in his head that he had to work hard and fast. Therefore he often found himself napping to replenish his energy. Faerindell wasn’t like any other place he had ever been. People here worked at their own pace and got so much more done then he ever could and he simply couldn’t understand how to flow with the aura of the region. 

 

Vesper and Fireworks were really sure how much longer they would stay here. Sure had made plenty of money but the place's aura just wasn’t his thing. He liked the idea of having a lot of extra coins and he didn’t mind the work as he was used to working hard. But this feeling of always being sleepy was exhausting to him. He really started to reconsider what he was doing with his life. One might say he had an epiphany. He had always been going around and about doing all this grunt work. But he never stayed long enough in one place to make friends and connect with other Elnins. He often found himself doing his work and spending time with only his pomu. Maybe he had overworked himself for too long bustling from one place to another and always running around doing work and having fun after. Faerindell was maybe rubbing off on this little one. Making him realize that life wasn’t always living from one day to the next. Sometimes you had to stop, sleep and smell the flowers. But lately he hadn’t found much time for smelling the flower. He wondered then if maybe it was time for him to move on. 

 

Although he wasn’t sure if he wanted to keep trying, in the end he did enjoy the work and the company of Faera who had been working so hard to teach him the ways here. But something just wasn’t clicking. But he truly enjoyed the time that the beautiful Faenin had spent with him and it made the decision so difficult. She was proud of the progress he had made but he simply found himself not satisfied with how he was efficient. Faera kept telling him that eventually he would find the proper pace and be on the same page as everyone else. But he simply was such a headstrong little kittom that he worked against it. Therefore they had both agreed that maybe this wasn’t the place for Vesper even if they struggled to say goodbye to each other. Vesper would surely miss the first mother figure he had ever had but he knew he would always cherish their time together and all that she had taught him. Maybe wherever he went next he could apply what she had taught him. He had certainly learned how to use his energy slowly and steadily instead of simply burning all of it in one go. Faera had wondered how he had managed to keep himself going for this long. With this lesson Vesper took some direction from the Faenin who had told him maybe that Silveil might be more a place for him. With that he moved on saying his final goodbyes to Faera who he would miss dearly and to Faerindell the places that always smelled of floral explosion.
