Vesper had found himself traveling through Eyre as he was a free spirit never staying too long in one place or another. He would usually gather enough coins to travel to the next region. The longest time he had spent was in Ahza as he badly wanted a flute. He always traveled with his favorite companion, Fireworks, his little shadow. The two had acquired quite the little adventuring outfit. They carried around each bag on their backs where they stored necessities ranging from bowls to rope. Whatever they would need to be able to set up a small camp and keep dry. They each had a blanket and a trap to be able to build shelter. They even each had a little pocket knife to be able to gather firewood with the belt they had strapped at their waist. They also carried on it a few little potions and other useful trinkets. Of course Fireworks could store some of this stuff in Vesper shadow but he preferred to match his Elnin. The two looked quite dapper with their little outfit. Sometimes they had to stop or try to catch a caravan that was traveling in the same direction they wanted as they would often get exhausted hauling so much stuff. They each had two straps along their shoulders and one belt going around their torso to keep it in place and to balance the wright. At times though it became a lot to carry for such a small kittom. Somehow though the little pomu could carry just as much as Vesper could. But it made the entire journey fun and adventurous no matter how much time it took them to travel from one place to another. As long as they always had each other the rest was just in between. 

 

The two companions had been traveling from Ahza to Faerindell, a place they had yet to see. They had heard it was a very beautiful place full of blooms and agriculture. What also intrigued them was that it was fae-touched. They wondered what a place like that would feel like. Nevertheless they made their way there with no plan whatsoever. Everyday they lived it as if it was their last and they lived it to the fullest. It was always something new and they just went along with whatever got them by. They were sure they would be able to find work here helping in the fields. 

 

They had found a local farmer to work for to help with gathering the fields. He wasn’t the nicest, he was quite an old grumpy Elnin. But work was work for Vesper and his pomu and they got by it each day. They were always so exhausted after one day's work that they often found themselves falling asleep under a nice shady blooming tree. They found the breeze nice and the trees so beautiful here with the different petals ranging from pinks to purples and even some blues. Vesper often found Fireworks storing the discarded petals in his void. The little kittom wondered why his pomu ever did such a thing and what happened to those petals? Didn’t they just wither away after a day or two? Nonetheless he left his pomu to his own devices, after all what harm could it do. The little shadow always had a pleasant fragrant blooming scent. When they were a bit less exhausted after a day's work of gathering vegetables in the fields they would gather petals for a little while and build themselves a pile and roll around in it. Some could take it as the equivalent to taking a bath . They smelled like fresh florals for the whole next day. The workers they helped made fun of them saying they probably rolled around in a whole pile of petals. Little did they know that is really what the two comrades did. 

 

They had been gathering so many things in the fields from wheat to an array of vegetables and were often given a little bit of food after a day's work. But one thing the old grumpy Elnin would never share was the carrots. He claimed he had a market for it and would never give any to the workers and that included poor Vesper and Fireworks. No one questioned the old Elnin Yukiji and everyone simply followed his orders. However Vesper and his pomu had other plans; they wanted to taste a fresh carrot. They had devised a plan to rob some of the carrots which would be ready the next day for gathering. In the middle of the night, they passed unseen with their empty bags clearing out a good quarter of the old grump crop. They dug and pulled almost all night to gather and fit as much as they could in their bags. Their fur was full of dirt but they never stopped until they couldn’t fit anymore in their bags. 

 

The next day the old Elnin woke up to having his crop robbed and he was absolutely raging. Yukiji couldn't believe that in all his years of farming this had happened. He had built a little fence around the carrots so that no wild animals could get in and steal the vegetable. He tried to blame a few of his workers but no one would ever dare cross him due to his temper. In the end his neighbor who was his rival is the one he decided to blame. Not once did Yuki ever suspect the two little companions. Even though they had shown up to work covered in dirt, especially their little paws. But that was nothing new for these two; they often came to work covered in something. They had gotten away with it, they really thought they had gotten clever. They hadn’t really slept that night, they often fell asleep during the day in the middle of the field. No one thought anything of it as the kittom was quite a lot to handle at times and often found himself in trouble falling asleep whenever he got sleepy and the pomu always followed suit. 

 

After that day's work they went in and ravaged their stash of fresh carrots, they had never tasted such a good carrot before. They ate so much that they fell asleep from such a full stomach. Their little paws were covered in orange and so was the fur around Vesper's mouth. But still no one ever questioned the little kittom, they both had perfectly gotten away with it. However the neighbor next door sure got an earful from that old grump Yukiji.
