Basa isn’t typically a treasure hunter, usually preferring to stay within the cities and help with menial tasks that require less effort. That said, a certain elnin was very persistent and obnoxious about this supposed “ race “ to test their abilities, so Basa eventually relented with the encouragement ( read : teasing ) of someone he questions why he ever saw romantically.

The jungles of Kyendi hid many secrets within the dark greens. Vines and foliage blocked your path, having to brush past them with paws to hope to find traces of lost civilization and the treasures that hide further within. The humidity of the tropical feeling forests bred wildlife like one couldn’t believe, those resistant to the atmosphere and those who’s fur sticks to them as the mists of the small waterfalls and roaring rivers meld into the body. Ferns fanned wildly out, reaching over the waters and casting reflections of green before touching the very tips of their leaves to the riverway.

The main attraction for Basa, however, was the ruins. To find the hints of grey covered by green vines and jungle ferns to hide the very source of coming here, brushing them aside and seeing the carvings of lost meaning that only historians can even hope of translating. Traveling a hand along the walls as he walks to find the entrance, taking notes of the dips with which his hand falls through holes into the grey and green as if becoming one, and finally being met with a fallen wall of cascading stone that gave a way into the secret treasures. He approaches, stepping over the dense foliage and directly into a puddle ; it must have been from a recent rainfall that dripped from the treetops into the jungle floor below. Finally, he has found what he is looking for. Or, at least hopefully. Who knows what treasures of the ruins have already been taken by others.
