Sunniva had started out very differently than where she currently found herself. Her life had started out in Strynhalde which was a cold and snowy place. She had spent most of her kittom years in a tavern where she had helped the tavern maid take care of the place. She was used to tidying up the place, making sure that the rooms were clean after a guest left and cleaning up each night after all the customers left the tavern. Sometimes she even had to try to fix furniture that someone broke after getting rowdy. But with time she had left that place and had adventured and found herself far from home in Silveil city. This place was so very different from what she was used to that it was taking her a lot of time to get used to it. For one it was always nighttime and you never saw the daylight. Sure Strynhalde was cold and harsh but you always saw dawn and dusk. At first she missed the snow to play with but soon she became accustomed to playing hide and seek in the dark instead. One thing is for sure Sunni never got tired of the starry night sky that would grace each resident of Silveil. She had never seen such a beautiful starlit sky like this even in Strynhalde. She would take time each day to stargaze and map out the constellation with the book that Miyako had given her. Every so often they would also plan a beach trip with her and Yako as they took a break from their work at the library. The beachside was so beautiful that Sunniva would just have a blast at dipping her paws in the water and watching the bioluminescent life in the water swim around and follow the current of the water. The moon was always even bigger and more beautiful there. It shone and reflected its image on the water, something that Sunni had never had the chance to see while in Strynhalde as the waters there were always frozen. It truly was a beautiful nightly place to reside.

Sunniva wasn’t much for the nightlife that Silveil city had to offer which was a good thing that she had met Miyako when she had. The library was the perfect refuge for her and the lifestyle was just what she needed. She had a lot of energy and used to get herself in some conundrums before but now she was a lot more calm and serene. It’s funny how a change of scenery made Sunniva an almost brand new kittom. Maybe she had never put her chaotic energy to the proper use before. In her past she would have become a tavern maid but now she had a different future that she was even more looking forward to. Beforehand it felt like she was just doing the tasks at hand because that’s what was required of her, but now she had a true passion for each day’s tasks.

Sometimes she would even rise before Miyako and would get started on stacking away books that the visitor had left behind at the library closing. Other times she would stay up later and put them away. At this point she had the library memorized and where each book, scroll or manuscript went.  Even Yako was amazed by this skill Sunni had picked up so quickly. Whenever someone came to the library either for leisure or for study, she knew where to bring them based on what they were seeking. It made her the perfect librarian assistant.  She used to be quite a clumsy tavern maid and used to break things every so often but now she was more in her element. Sunniva had even started learning how to fix books that needed a little tender love and care as the previous owner had not taken care of it. She aspired to be just like Miyako when she grew up, being good with her hands and with her knowledge. Sunniva would try to learn all she could from her, from reading letters and requests, to responding to them and sending the books and scrolls that they were seeking. The job really never ended, the elnin around Eyre were always seeking knowledge.

The little kittom was truly blissful here. She couldn’t ask for a better place to be and she never wanted to leave. Yako had been treating her as if she was her own and it made Sunni really feel content. Before she used to read her own stories dreaming of adventure but now each night Miyako would take time and read her one of the stories. Yako would always lull the kittom and her pomu with these wondrous stories. They were all at peace and each day brought in work that they both enjoyed. There was nothing in the world Sunniva aspired to be more than what Miyako was, an intellectually knowledgeable librarian that helped the Elnins in Silveil and all of Eyre. Sometimes they would even send books in the further reaches of the world in places more secluded and Sunniva even wondered why those Elnins would need those books there. One thing for sure she was glad she wasn’t the nin that had to travel up there to deliver that package. She was perfectly happy right where she was, doing what she was doing. In the past she used to dream of being an adventurer but now she knew that she was right where she belonged. One day maybe she would be as good and knowledgeable as Miyako was.
