Sunniva had been walking down the bustling streets of Silveil city minding her own business when suddenly she was approached by an adult elnin, asking if she had seen their glasses. Sunni raised her shoulders using her body language to nod that she had not seen them. But the elnin stood still infront of her waiting for a reply. That’s when she realized that the elnin could not see well without their glasses. If you lost something in Silveil the odds were against you as no one seemed to find anything in the darkness or they were long gone because someone else had quickly picked it up and would go sell it wherever they could. But being who she was Sunni offered her help to the elnin. “I haven’t seen them but I will help you find them.”  The elnin told her she had lost them somewhere on the street here as she had been running due to being late to an errand.

Sunniva was glad that it was the miasma season as she could use her pomu lantern to light her way down the street as Silveil was always plunged in darkness of the night. She held on to the beautiful colorful ribbons she had attached to the lantern. The different colour beads shone in the night sky. She was just a little happy kittom going up and down the street as if Snowdrop was still with her. Only instead of helping her look for the lost item it was lighting her way in the shadows. The little pink crystal flower she had adorned with on the top seemed to shine brighter than before and it warmed Sunni heart. Even though she was out having fun as she normally would, maybe just being the company of another elnin and having her pomu light on her made her joyful. The sky itself tonight was absolutely beautiful, the galaxy shined across the sky in various shades of purple and dark blues with some orange and pink mixed in. The stars themselves seemed to gleam even more and more.

It hadn’t occurred to Sunni to even ask the Elnin what colour or shape these spectacles were which meant she didn’t really know what she was looking for and she had already been searching that street for quite some time now. Truthfully she didn’t even know how the elnin was named and where she came from. All she knew was what she looked like. She had long silver hair with some pink flowers and blue markings that glowed. Sunniva abandoned her search deciding that she needed more info on what she was looking for but when she looked around the silvered hair elnin was nowhere to be found. Puzzled, she wondered now if that elnin hadn’t been a figment of her imagination? Clutching on to the ribbon from her pomu lantern Sunniva began to get spooked. Taking a few steps she looked around wondering if she was seeing ghosts. That's when she heard the cracking noise under her paw.

To her horror it seemed she had stepped on a pair of glasses that had a beautiful pink rim around it. Knowing that was probably the ones the elnin was looking for. Slowly moving her paw and having one eye half open, Sunni looked down to see the damage she had caused. The spectacles still appeared somewhat intact except that one of the lenses had cracked a little bit. Bending down she picked them up cradling them gently to prevent further damage to them being done. After all this crack could have been done when the elnin had originally lost them, there was no need to tell them that she had stepped on it.

She looked around the street a little while longer wondering where that elnin had gone but she seemed nowhere in sight. Maybe she had wandered off the path since she couldn’t see well after all. Sunni figured it could be a possibility as she began going down the next street over that connected to the one she was previously on. That’s when she saw that beautiful silver hair shine in the moonlight. She ran up to her happy to have found her again and having found her glasses for her. Even though there was a slight damage to them she hoped the elnin would be glad they were found. “ HERE I FOUND THEM!” she exclaimed, all joyous. The elnin was ever so happy as she took them gently from Sunniva putting them on so she could see properly. “ Oh dear it seems I broke a lens again”, she said looking happily at the little kittom. “ I could never thank you enough, may I ask what your name is little one?” she asked her sweetly. “ My name is Sunniva”, she replied “ and what is yours?” “ I am Miyako and I work at the local library in Silveil around the block.” Sunni smiled at the elnin called Miyako as she patted her on the head. But slowly Sunniva began to feel a bit of guilt as she felt a pang in her heart as she saw the crack reflect in the glasses due to the moonlight. “How about I repay you over a nice hot meal” she said to her pointing to the pub that was close. But Sunniva felt dreadful as she had stepped on her spectacles and could never accept anything from her. She plopped herself on the ground and began to cry really loudly as she sobbed away and Miyako could not make out a word that Sunni was saying. Her lantern creeped up closer to her as if Snowdrop was trying to say something to her or perhaps comfort her as the pink light that was emitting from the lantern made her tears look as if she were pink crystals themselves. Yako, unsure of why Sunniva was so upset, took her in her arms and rubbed her back and told her that everything was ok as she sobbed ever so loudly. Finally when the tears stopped rolling so much and she felt nicely warm in the elnin arms she managed to form a sentence. “ It’s my fault I broke them ... by stepping on them accidentally.” She managed to say between her sobs. Miyako smiled at her and patted her head. “It’s alright little one you managed to find them and it happens I fixed them about once a week, I really clumsy you see.”

The two then stepped inside the tavern and conversed over a nice hot meal and slowly became friends as they shared tidbits of their lives. Sunniva also told her that she would help fashion her a nice rope with beads like the one on her lantern so she would stop losing her glasses so much. After all, it must have been expensive to get them fixed once a week??
