Greywind was dreading this job. Another journey to Faerindell. As if he hadn't spent enough time already there. For almost three months he was stuck there during one of the Miasma seasons, resting beneath a Sakura tree. It had been such a harsh change from the snow-covered lands in Strynhalde to the endless colorful ocean of flowers. //And yet, here I am again//, he thought to himself, making his way through the waves of the fallen petals left behind by the faerie shrouds and past some distant farms near the grassy hills.

He was looking for a new species of plant. This plant, known as the Elenion Blossom, was said to be a wonder to behold. With petals as soft as silk and a fragrance that could soothe even the most troubled soul. The nin scoffed quietly at that thought. But the rumours had been so numerous that he had to check it out by himself; he couldn't let anyone else do it.
While the warm sun danced through the pink trees, Greywind was trying to remember the details he read before he came here.

The Elenion Blossom was hard to find and apparently a delicate flower, with petals of pink, white, and a hint of lavender. The flowers bloomed in clusters, each blossom surrounded by a ring of small leaves that were of a deep forest green. When the flowers were in full bloom, the scent they gave off was supposed to be like a soft summer breeze, carrying hints of sweetness and a gentle floral fragrance. Greywind wondered if he would be able to identify it at all by himself. He would probably need the help of some locals, since the plant was also known for its unique growing process. The Elenion Blossom needed very specific conditions to thrive, including a soil that was rich in nutrients and a warm, sheltered environment. The best way to cultivate the Elenion Blossom was to plant it near the roots of the eldertree, where it could absorb the nourishing energy from the tree's magic.
//Technically it shouldn't be too hard to find, but then again, my luck hasn't been the best lately and there are a lot of those damned pink flowers around here...// He let out a small growl and shook his head a little, trying to get rid of the petals in his hair that inevitably got stuck there all the time while he was in Faerindell.

From what he had heard, the plant wasn't just pretty and smelled nice though. In addition to its beauty, the Elenion Blossom has been found to have medicinal properties as well. When steeped in boiling water, the petals of the Elenion Blossom could be made into a tea that was believed to cure a variety of ailments, from mild headaches and anxiety to more serious conditions like heartache and insomnia.

"Well, I'm gonna be the judge of that..."
His voice was a soft grumble. From what he could tell, they were still testing how the Elenion Blossom reacted when mixed together with other herbs and petals. So there was still a lot more potential to be discovered.  Greywind sighed in relief when he could finally spot the massive canopy of Faerindells eldertree. It stood tall between the colorful flower fields and farmlands, tinting the earth below in a soft, pink glow.
//Almost there now...//
