Leaving the cold tundras of Strynhalde behind, Cain entered the land of Ahza through the mountains and into the high desert. From a distance, he could see the storm lands, the sparks of lightning streaking across the blackened sky. He wasn't sure he wanted to head toward that area but instead continued southwest into the lower valley into the dunes.

The heavy clothes were way too hot for him, so he pulled off what he could and stuffed them into his bag. Cain didn't have much water left, so he needed to find a village quickly as he knew he wouldn't last long exposed to the intense heat.

As he was glancing across the rippling sea of sand, the kittom soon found himself on the ground. He had tripped over a thick vine snaking up from the rocky pathway. Cain sat up and looked around for the source of this vine, finding an upright plant that looked almost like a cactus, only it had slender leaves growing from the core. Thorns stuck out from between them, a warning not to mess with it. The vines were strong despite the dry atmosphere, able to crack some of the rock and root itself firm where it stood.

"Thanks a lot..." Cain scolded as he dusted the sand from his shirt and pants. If there were plants though, that meant water had to be nearby. Perhaps a village was not far off or perhaps an oasis? He wasn't sure, but he knew he had to be close to something. The odd cactus stood in a small groups of each other, only standing a few feet up. They were dusty, but the kittom could tell they were green with health.

Turning, he would continue the path, careful not to trip on any more of those roots along the way.
