"Kuh... So... damn... hot...!"
The kittom's voice trails off into frustration, his voice growing strained as he found himself giving up and collapsing onto the soft sand beneath a withered tree, desperate for some semblance of relief from the sun's relentless onslaught. Indeed, this was to be expected of Ahza's desert climate; though, in a moment like this, Caelus found himself really wishing he'd decided to train in the northern swampy wetlands instead, even if it'd result in a constant onslaught of thunder and rain. Speaking of rain, he'd kill for even a single drop of water right now. Huffing as he rests his head on his front paws, he flinches slightly, noting a rather dried out skull settled right next to him alongside one of the tree's gangling roots.
"You too, huh?" He mumbles to himself, almost pitying the poor stranger who'd probably found theirselves in a situation just like his; fatigued, exhausted, and out of water. He grumbles. There's no way he's letting himself die in a place like this; the sprawling dunes and sandy landscape were for racing and exploring in, not for lying down and dying in!
Unsteady on his paws, the kittom wobbles back upright, leaning against the tree for extra measure, finding himself resting a paw on that poor, sad-looking skull. He can't give up now - besides, he's heard stories of beautiful oasises smack dab in the middle of this boiling hellscape. What could would it do him to give up now? Images dance in the kittom's head of quenching his thirst and him dashing through fast-moving rivers, almost feeling as if he'd have the strength of the very same water that had cut and eroded through the dry desert rock. Maybe he could even try jumping off one of the waterfalls...!
Resolute and determined, Caelus wobbles onwards, hoping and praying he'd find some respite from the violent sun.
