Vesper hadn’t found that the past few months were very thrilling. His days were long and he was always executing the same tasks. He hadn’t been a very lucky kittom, being without a family or a place to call home. He ran away from the nursery as soon as he could. It wasn’t the place for him. He had been on his own ever since traveling and doing odd jobs here and there to keep him going. He had a free spirit and no place or no one could really hold him down. Every year he always managed to find his way to Ealei for the Starfall Faire, which was his absolute favorite. The road to Ealei has been rough this year as there is no way to access the place by land. Boats were not his favorite thing. Sometimes the waters were rocky and it made Vesper sick. But the little one had been determined to make it. At first before the boat left , Esp wasn’t sure if he would even make it on time before the festival. He wanted to make it there early to be able to get some food and to craft lanterns. He also had to make his way to Nalonalo by land as the boat did not bring him there. The water was so clear that you could see the bottom so clearly and it had such a beautiful blue/green colour.  One of his favorite places to visit was the Eldertree in Ealei, Yggdrasil was the only tree that produced Manaberries. He would always go and gather as many as he could to keep with him for as long as he could. 

The terrain here was a bit harsh sometimes. There was much land to just walk on and you had to be good at climbing and swimming. Those were two things Vesper excelled at and he wondered if maybe this year after the Starfall Faire he shouldn't stay here and find work instead. He would usually save up for the year so he could make the trip here and have some fun at the Faire. But Ealei had started growing on him, Esp absolutely adored swimming around the Mangroves and all the tree roots that anchored in the water. He even loved fishing on a rockcliff and climbing on the rocks and trees wherever he could. He even loved how instead of on land, the people here built the houses in the trees and there were bridges here hanging from tree to tree that connected the houses together. It was like a tree house once he had tried to make but these were a hundred times better and bigger. 

While he ventured as he made his way to Nalonalo, this little one never seemed to get tired of climbing and swimming. Sometimes he would also travel through the smaller towns using the bridges. But when he finally made it, he was the happiest. A grin could be seen on his face from ear to ear and he radiated happiness. At first he ran around the lower bridges to see everything and all the vendors around. He was so excited that he sometimes bumped into other elnins. He would apologize but he was so full of energy that sometimes people didn’t even realize what bumped into them. Except maybe that they made out it was this little purple ball of fur? But who really knew? It didn’t seem to matter as everyone seemed happy and in a festive mood. 

I think what Vesper was most excited for was the FIREWORKS!!! That’s why he came here every year. First he would do his rounds of finding the best street food and boy did that small kittom ever eat. One might wonder how it managed to all fit in his little body. There was food and so many different foods to try beyond anyone's wildest dreams. Once he had his fill he would go around and find the perfect paper to craft his lantern. He looked around for a long time until he was satisfied with the colour and quality of the paper.  This year he wrote a wish on it and hoped it would come true. He wouldn’t share it with anyone but he had big hopes and big dreams for such a small little kittom. 

The next thing he did as he carried around his lantern is look for the best spot to watch the firework show. He looked around and sat and looked up at the sky so many times but he was never satisfied with the view. Sometimes there were branches in the way and other times there were people. It had to be perfect as he had been waiting around all year for this moment. The show was alway so spectacular. He was nearly out of breath and energy when Esp had finally found the perfect spot. He had a clear view of the sky and before he even had time to set out his blanket to sit on and take out his extra snacks, he heard the sounds. It started to crack and the sky illuminated with sparks of colour. He was so excited and happy that he would scream out in excitement “WHOAH” ! “WOW”! “AHHHH! Little did he know part of his wish came true. He felt a little nib on his paw. At first he ignored it but after the nib got stronger, he looked down to the source about to be horrified that maybe a bug or something else was biting him. But to Vesper's surprise it was a pomu, not just any pomu, it was his little pomu. It was the first time it appeared and he knew then he would never be alone. “ I shall call you fireworks,” he said as he offered him a little snack. He gave it a hug as they both finished watching the show being the happiest little kittom. He truly would never be alone again.
