The time had come for Koko to go on an adventure again but this time his mother was taking him to a different place. They had spent some time in Bellmoril but now they were heading to Faerindell. Ko's mother, Nari was from there and she needed to go back to replenish some of her herbs and floral for medicinal concoctions. He was absolutely ecstatic when he heard the news. He had already packed his bags as soon as he had found out. Ever since his dream of the place he couldn’t wait to visit. He had never seen in his life such beautiful fragrant flowers. He would be sad to leave his father again and sister but at least he had his mom with him.
On their way his mother had told him tales of a small kittom she had helped while being in Faerindell and how she watched over the shrine and healed the sick. After hearing the tales Koko wondered where this kittom if maybe now Elnin might be now. It also made him ponder where he would be if he hadn’t met his mom in the desert of Ahza. His life might have been very different now. But he needed not to worry about such things because he had a lovely family that took good care of him. Nothing made him happier than those thoughts and traveling with his mother.
The trip had been long but they had finally made it to their destination. They had sailed across from Ahza and made it to Faerindell. It had been how he imagined and more. He couldn’t believe his eyes, there was so much greenery and florals of different colours like he had never seen before. There were pink, blue, purple florals everywhere that he began to take a run through the fields of flowers and grass. His mother looked at him and chuckled , she had never seen a kittom get so excited over the scenery.
They had settled in at a shrine close to Elenion and all Koko could do was take in deep breaths of air and enjoy its pleasant floral scent. His mother couldn’t help but laugh at him and how silly he was. He kept running around the fields of flowers and petals that laid on the ground and he too began to smell fragrant. He was simply the happiest. His mom knew he wouldn’t be much help at the moment and rather than get him to help gather herbal and floral ingredients, she instead gave him a ball to play with. That way he wouldn’t be bothering her and he would be kept busy, since he seemed to have so much energy to burn. Besides, his pomu would probably enjoy the game with him. His eyes grew wide and he smiled so brightly as his mother offered him a ball. He quickly ran away to a grassy plain with his little buddy Sprite trailing not far behind.
He ran for hours on end, who knew small kittoms had that much energy in them. Kicking around and tossing the ball that Nari had given to him and his pomu. His favorite part was when Sprite made the ball disappear in his void and made it reappear in the air further down. They went from playing different ball tossing games. They ran and they jumped so much that at some point they collapsed out of energy. They took a nap in a bed of grass and petals. The sun was shining on them keeping them nice and warm. Koko loved his ball so much that he fell asleep holding on to it, cradling it. The sun was going down and their stomachs were rumbling. He hadn’t realized that the day was over with. Heading back home holding on to his ball so tightly and having his pomu resting on his head. They had burned out their energy so much that he could eat a house. After having a nice meal he couldn’t wait to fall asleep so he could go out and play with his ball again tomorrow.
The morning had come and Ko barely finished eating his breakfast and he was out the door. He had found a similar spot to where he was the day before with plenty of place to run around and toss a ball. They were having so much fun again, him and Sprite that he wished everyday could be like this. He wished though that his sister could have been with them so that it would be triple the adventure. His pomu went and threw the ball for Koko to kick it but this time he had hit it so hard that it flew far and high in the air. Worried that he might not find it he ran after it following it, but to his horror it landed high in a tree. For hours he and Sprite tried to climb up the tree or tried to find sticks long enough to reach it but to no avail. It was stuck in there and Koko had no way of reaching it. He threw himself on the ground and began to cry as he was heartbroken that he managed to get his favorite toy stuck in a tree. He was so tired from having run around and crying that he fell asleep for a long while.
He felt a sudden gust of wind brush his fur and it woke him up and to his surprise there was his ball right in front of him. He grabbed it quickly and clung on to it so tightly that he almost squeezed all the air out of it. Seeing that the sun was setting down again he ran home telling his mom his story of his ball. His mother patted his head and gave him a big hug and told him to be careful and take care of his things. She thought maybe this was a good lesson for him. From now on he would be more careful with his most treasured possession.
