As the morning melted into the lazy afternoon, large bumbling clouds crawled along the bright sky. Adeline noticed her garden shadowed by thunderheads at intervals, threatening the onset of rain, and the few rumbles of distant thunder announcing the storm was raging in the distance. The elnin had much to do. She had orders to fill and send out, but the weather seemed to have a different idea.

"Why must it rain during the busiest of times?" She pondered, gathering what she could and shuffling back toward her house. The large hat she wore was stuffed to the brim with herbs as well, helping her carry everything she needed. As she started to head inside, specks of rain dotted around her feet on the cobbled porch, her eyes wandering up for a moment as the dark clouds washed over the rest of the sky. "You came quick! I'm going in, I'm going in... just make sure you soak the ground for the flowers."

Adeline pushed her way through into her hovel, shutting the door with her foot as she leaned over to place the herbs she had against her breast onto a table. As she settled, the hat was placed along with the rest of her harvest. Seems she made it inside just in time. Adeline glanced out the small window near the door as the rain pelted her home in heavy droves.

"I suppose I should work on some packaging this afternoon." She said, turning to walk into the living room, so many strings and herbs were strewn about. There was paper haphazardly piled onto a desk along with several cups piled to the side, either for drinking or for the care of the herbs she grew. Adeline navigated elegantly over to her desk, grabbing a few tools along the way before she sat down to start her work.

Tediously, the elnin packaged her orders and neatly piled them into a box next to her workspace, a contrast to the chaos that was her home. It was well into the day before she sat back with a large sigh. She had done most of her work orders; she needed a break before she did anything more. Just as she was starting to settle nicely into her chair, she heard a plunk at her window. Puzzled, Adeline sat up and peered out her window. Despite the cascade of water from the rain, she could see a familiar green blob that was croaking at her. "Oh, you want in finally, Leepo?" She asked, smiling as she opened the window to let the round frog into the house. "Well, I suppose we should grab something to eat, hm? Are you hungry?" Adeline inquired as she shut the window and picked up her companion as he croaked in response.

"I'll get out some worms for you! I think I'll make myself some tea! It's a little chilly out now that night approaches." Adeline set Leepo down on the counter, letting him settle wherever he pleased as she grabbed a plate. She would pile a few juicy worms onto his plate and set it out before him, letting him gobble up the morsels in happy bliss. Meanwhile, she would set a kettle of water on the stove as she gathered a few of her own snacks.

"Well, did you have fun in the rain?" She pondered, glancing over at her little companion as he finished up his plate. "I bet you did, but the thunder scared you off, huh?" Leepo croaked in agreement before climbing onto Adeline's hands to be placed in his little house she had for him in the living room. "Well, it's nice to have the rain. Rest up so you can soak it up again tomorrow with maybe a little less thunder, hm?" Leepo gave one final croak as he climbed into his home.

Adeline wandered back into the kitchen to grab her fresh tea and biscuits to enjoy as she relaxed at the table, listening to the rain and rumbles of thunder. "Perhaps I'll relax for the rest of the day..."

Adeline enjoyed riding out the weather, feeling comforted by the wind buffeting her hovel and the rain creating an ambiance she could fall asleep to. She enjoyed the rest of the night.
