The leaves had been slowly falling from the trees in rays of golden orange colours. Destiny had been working hard all day to gather a special bouquet of flowers for someone she admired. The air was fresh and slightly crisp and she had been walking around the forest for hours. At this point she wasn’t sure if she was even going to find the flower she had once stumbled upon in the woods of Bellmoril. Maybe she had imagined seeing them when Teenie had taken that stroll. Alas the scenery was beautiful and the breath of fresh air did her some good. It made her feel more at peace being away from the city that was always busy and bustling with people around. Instead she started to gather beautiful leaves she found on the forest bedfloor. If not flowers Destiny thought maybe leaves were just as beautiful. Bellmoril had some of the best leaves; they came in various colours from red to golden and sometimes some still had a speck of green to them.

Having wandered around for quite some time Desy had gathered quite a beautiful array of leaves. Afraid of leaving some behind from carrying so many, she had brought twine with her hoping to have tied her bouquet with the string but instead she was using it to keep the leaves together. At the moment it looked like a beautiful arrangement but not of flowers but of leaves. She had carefully positioned each leaf according to their coloring and their shape. It looked simply marvelous, Destiny thought to herself admiring her work in the beautiful light as it made the leaves shine as the light hit them. As pretty as her creation was, she thought something was lacking. She shrugged loudy frustrated that whatever Desy was really after wasn’t anywhere to be found.

The day had slipped away and before she knew it the temperature had dropped and the air was much crisper than it had been during the afternoon. Luckily Teenie had brought with her a scarf and some mittens. Carefully she placed her gathered goods in her bag not wanting to misplace them as she was getting tired of carrying them around in her hand. The bouquet was heavier than she had expected. Her arms were tired and so were her feet. She was beginning to find it hard to keep lifting her feet as she kept wandering aimlessly. The small kittom had not invented the word patience nor did she possess enough energy to keep wandering the woods until the sun came down. Desy would have to return home before she had no more will to make it she thought to herself. Disappointed, she headed home for the night as tomorrow was another day, maybe then she would be luckier.

On her way back being clumsy as she was, Destiny tripped on a rock that launched her down a hill. Tumbling down this little slope she went, hitting a few shrubs and branches. When she finally stopped rolling down, she took a deep breath and yowled out in pain. That stupid rock, why did she have to trip on it. She had a few minor bruises and scrapes but she was mostly unharmed. Looking at her surroundings, she couldn’t seem to notice where her bag had gone flying. Frustrated, she slowly got back up and started to look around for her missing sack. Her precious bouquet was in there, her light and her bindings for her minor wounds. Desy knee was in pain, she hadn’t noticed the slight blood that was oozing from the small wound. “GREAT” She yelled as she brushed some dirt and dust from herself. This day was not going as she planned. She wondered if it would simply be best to turn back home and not bother finding her belongings. It then occurred to Destiny that she had no idea where she was in the forest having wandered too far from the path she always followed. Stomping her feet on the ground in anger it was clear to her she had to find her sack of goods. How else would she make it home, she was lucky that it was still light out which made it easier to spot her bag. In it she had a map of the woodland area around the city. She was sure if she had it she would be able to find a way home.

Desy was sad as she wandered around; she had also lost a mitt that had been given to her by her treasured friend. Nothing at this point was going according to plan. Tears started to scroll down her cheek and she kicked around some dirt and leaves on the forest bedfloor. That’s when her eyes saw it. Her mitten had gotten stuck in a branch. It probably flew there when she rolled down. Reaching for it, not looking around at her surroundings she tripped on another rock. The luck she had. Opening her eyes again, that's when she saw them…the flowers she had been looking for… All this time they were here. It only took her to fall down a slope and start seeking for her things and falling on another rock to find them. Life had an odd way of doing things Destiny thought to herself. Sadly she no longer had her small pair of pruners to be able to cut the flowers. But to her surprise she looked around a bit more and she found her bag. Hoping that none of her belongings tumbled out as she fell, she rushed to it to inspect her things. To her surprise everything was accounted for. Forgetting about her bruised knee she started to jump but quickly stopped as she felt a jab of pain. There would be another time to celebrate her victory. Taking out her small pruners she clipped the amount of flowers she needed for her arrangement. Nothing to her was as pretty as a fresh cut bouquet of chrysanthemums. She found them in a variety of colours, from red to yellow and even some white and orange ones. Having gathered what she needed and safely putting them in her bag she took out her map to find her way home. Walking North a bit she began to hear the noise of the bustling city. She knew then she was no longer lost.

Making her way home she chanted a few songs with complete bliss. A few strangers gave her strange looks but not caring Destiny went on her merry way. It only occurred to her after she had crossed the threshold home that she knew why Desy had gotten so many looks. Her face was covered with dirt and a few scrapes. Her fur was mostly dusty and she even had a few twigs and leaves in her hair and tail. She was an absolute mess but that didn’t bother her. Teenie was more interested in her flowers and leaves. She wanted to assemble what she had gathered. Carefully taking out the chrysanthemums and leaves out of her bag. She arranged them with the flowers in the middle and some leaves all around. She then wrapped in some nice paper she had kept and wrapped some twine around it to keep it together. Destiny even tied a leaf to each of the hanging strings. She took some time to admire her creation, not even worried about her scrapes and overall appearance. To her it seemed like perfect serendipity how she found what she was looking for all along. Tomorrow she would bring it to that special person but for now it was time to wash up and treat her small wounds and go for a nice sleep. Desy had not realized how all her adventuring had tired her.
