The moon hid behind the fluffy resting clouds, barely shining through to the white tundra below. The snow danced slowly throughout the sky, not in any hurry to merge with the snow below. 

She breathes out, a white mist showing just how cold it was right now. She’s still not used to the frigid temperatures of this place regardless of how long she’s stayed here. The cold bit at her cheeks, sending shivers up her spine as she continued her walk.

To the right mountains loomed over her, difficult to see the tops of with the white of them blending in with the clouds and snow. To the left was a forest. The white bark of the trees would gleam in any light, almost blinding in the sun like the snow that covered the ground. She grew used to it. To the blanket of mostly white that covered the entire place. 

Her eyes catch a twinkle in the night, an icicle positioned perfectly to capture some of the moon's light that managed to escape the clouds. Pretty to look at, a little concerning to stand under if they’re quite large or sharp and it seems this one has a few friends, being the sharpest and longest of the bunch.

She let her gaze wander a bit, spotting something in the distance that was unmoving. The snow crunched beneath her paws, sinking down into it, struggling a little to move forward more. 

Now that she was closer she could see it was two snowmen, one much smaller than the other, possibly a child? It was missing eyes and a nose, the white branches stuck into it for arms nearly being invisible. She couldn’t help but smile seeing the scarf wrapped around each one.

This was her home, her beautiful cold home. Covered in snow and ice, soft whispers of the freezing wind, her home; Strynhalde.
