Io had always wanted to visit Bellmoril, even though he was well aware the landscape of lush golden vegetation looked nothing like something that should appeal to him. The forests, when he'd managed to get there, were extensive; tall, thin trees as far as the eye could see, stretching towards the horizon, with thin riblets of light spilling like God rays through the canopy the dense foliage above barely allowed. The ground, though nor barren, lacked the dense underbrush that the small kittom had expected to find there, and though the green and browns of the forest floor and the odd colored tree here and there was nothing like the surrounding golden hues, nothing seemed to clash. The colors, warm and cold meshed well, almost in gradients, from one tree to another, and even the odd, pink hued tree here and there did nothing to make the landscape look garish or stand out in an odd way.

It was beautiful. Like an eternal sunrise, bright and yellow, only it lasted the whole day. It rather reminded him of a friend of his, but that was neither here nor there, to be fair.

While the city had been interesting to look at upon arrival, Io had to admit, it wasn't that which had caught his attention, but the everlasting autumnal forests, the mountains surrounding and supporting the city proper, and the rural, smaller towns dispersed around the region. The lakes he'd seen as he'd followed Lamia around had been spectacular too; specially in the low light of the night, as the sun left over the horizon and the moon came up, the golden hues of the trees only slightly visible through the moonlight. He wasn't sure why the fiery tones called to him to much, and why he briefly mourned their disappearance in the night, but even while asleep, he knew the sun would lift once more, and restore the bright tonality come morning.
