As the miasma season sunk in to the large city of Silveil. A small black and white kittom, lazed about in her bedroom. Her black marsh tail, flicking back and forth as she gazed out at the Starlake, and the stars reflected from the beautiful night sky above. She squinted her charcoal eyes, making the whitelaced winglets flutter in a cool evening breeze. Not a single boat on the starlake tonight... and the miasma is bad mum and I can't head home. Sighing, the black kittom with lacy floral white markings turned away from the livingroom window and leaped down off of the windowsill couch. a small sprinkle of stars and constellations glinting in her wake as she moved away. Chantilly, headed back to the large deep brown coffee table, strewn with papers, fabric and a mug of water. Picking up her sketching pencil she started drawing the outline of an elnin on a sheet of paper. Over the last month, her mum, Airi, and her had come to the city of Silveil for a fashion show being held in one of the most spectacular lit up venue's in town. As an aspiring fashion designer, Chantilly had been ecstatic at going to visit such an exotic city! But... now that they'd been here for about a month the excitement and inspiration around the place was beginning to go dry, and while she loved the bioluminescent element of the place and it's beautiful starry sky the eternal night was beginning to drive her up the wall. Not to mention the fact that her mum refused to let her go out without her given the cities terrible crime rate. Chantilly jumped, as she heard a loud BANG, and the wind from outside began to howl into her bedroom. Cautious she slowly turned towards the balcony of the hotel room and saw, a kittom clamber inside. His eyes and horns a solid black. Chantilly gasped and quickly ran to hide behind the sofa, her small golden classic diadem glinting in the soft golden light from a nearby lamp. After a couple of minutes and hearing nothing, Chantilly peaked her small head out from behind the sofa, her winglets fluttering with anticipation at this strange occurence. In front of her she spied a kittom, ruffling through her pages and fabric on the coffee table, their horns and eyes a vivid green, a pair of crossed bones floating above his dark green head. Frowning she quietly sneaked out from behind the sofa and padded her way till she was standing next to the stranger.
"Ahem" she said loudly clearing her throat, while attempting to put on her most stern disapproving look, that she had seen on her mother's face all too often when she stayed up too late at night. The green kittom jumped dropping the papers and turned to look at her. Interestingly the scelera of his eyes was pitch black, and his markings reminded her of a vivid green map stark, against the deep sea green of his coat.
"AH! O-oh... hey there uh... d-don't mind me! I wasn't stealing nuffin'! I just... well... okay maybe I was trying to get out of a situation an apartment down from here but look I promise I wasn't planning on doing nuffin'!" he exclaimed smoothing his small tufts of hair back anxiously.
"Uh... huh. Well, I don't know what you're doing in my apartment, but if you've had enough of prying into my fashion designs could you please leave! Preferably out the door you came from?" Chantilly said with a sniff, snatching her fashion designs out of the grubby light green paws of the strange kittom.
"Oh please miss, just let me stay in your room for a couple hours! I'll do anything! If Minx and the gang get a hold of me I'm going to be chopped liver!" he pleaded, opening his jewel green eyes wide and looking up at her pitifully. Chantilly paused at the mention of 'anything'.
"...You'll do anything ?" she asked dragging out the last word and side eyeing him, her charcoal eyes glinting mischievously in the lamp light. Wincing, the green kittom glanced back at the balcony doors, his green ears twitched, as he heard vague shouts of 'I think he went this way!'.
"Anything." he said solemnly looking her straight in the eye.
- TWO HOURS LATER -
"ARGH, how are you so good at this damn game, Chantilly!" the green eyed kittom growled. Slamming a paw down onto the wooden coffee table next to the game board.
"Heh, playing Airships requires luck and an innate sense for tactics, Sonar." she said with a wink of one white laced eye. Thank goodness he never realised that there's a mirror behind him and I can see exactly where he places his airships, she thought to herself with an internal chuckle. "Now since you've lost two out of three games, it's time for your punishment! Kyendi batsu game style."
"Oh no... no no no." Sonar groaned burrowing his face into a couch cushion.
"Hey! No take backsies! You promised you'd dress in one of my fashion costumes I've designed. It's so much easier to get the sizing right when I've got an actual live model instead of a mannequin! Plus it'll look great on you trust me." she said with a grin. Quickly she dressed the dark green elnin in a black leather jacket, with twin tails, a kind of play on an old school tuxedo but made of leather, with studs along the sides and top. A unique black ruffled shirt, completed the look, along with an elegant mask shaped to look similarly to the underwater eldertree of Silveil. "What do you think?" she asked with a grin, grabbing the mirror and showing him her handywork. Stunned, at the outfit Sonar did a quick twirl, admiring the detail of of the leather jacket, letting out a low whistle. "Now, it's not quite done yet, the waist needs taking in... let me just need to do some quick tailoring" she said. With deft paws and quick pins in several areas, while Sonar was wearing it, she then took back the outfit back and made several tailoring adjustments to the look, before having him try it on again in front of the mirror. This time the waist fell perfectly, allowing the tails to hang back without dragging along the floor.
"Well... I'll be. Now this. This might actually work. Not bad for a bit of fashion" he said nudging Chantilly appreciatively. "Huh... well, thanks for the new outfit Chanti! Time I get moving." he exclaimed and bounded away from her with a wink, running out the balcony door and out into the night. Chantilly gaped, as he dashed out of her hotel room and off into the night. She stood there stunned for a few seconds. It all just happened too quickly!! She thought as she ran out to the balcony yelling
"OI BRING BACK THAT OUTFIT!!! I TOLD YOU TO TRY IT ON, NOT TO STEAL IT!" she yelled after him. She sighed when she saw him scampering across the rooftops with her latest creation on, too far away to even hear her yelling. Well, at the very least, I guess he must've liked it enough to steal it, she thought to herself. Grumbling as she sat down onto the couch. "YEOWCH!" she exclaimed getting up, and turning behind to see a sparkling pale blue gemstone left on the couch, with a small note. Picking it up she red the note.
'Thanks for the outfit Chanti! This'll help disguise me perfectly! It's not much, but take some of my earnings you deserve it. - Sonar'
Sighing, Chantilly picked up the gemstone, admiring how it glistened in the light of the lamp. Well, she thought to herself, I could always make another of that outfit, what a weird and wonderful place Silveil is.
